If you press the left button that activates a sensor that you trigger when you move your hand in front of it, so it’s on for a couple of minutes goes off and when you move your hand up to turn it on it common automatically. Either that or it needs a good charge, I’ve got 2 of these, 1 in my work bag and 1 in my coat pocket for walking the dogs and they have both been working great **Q: Is the head band washable?** A: I haven't had need to wash mine but can't se any reason why not. **Q: While jogging, does the light flop up & down, if it has been angled down?** A: I have never had to angle the torch down, as it illuminates the path well by default. Also, I have never had an issue with the torch moving around whilst running. It's great! Visibility has dramatically improved, can see all the way in front of me, reflective signs shine back. Its battery life is very good too, I've had it for about a month now, use it maybe 3 times a week for about 20 minutes, and haven't needed to recharge it, which with rechargeable bike lights batteries is very good. The motion sensor setting works as advertised, and I like that there's the option of high beams, low beams, and red. Only thing is that the back of the headlight is plastic with rims, in the past I've had headlights with a sort of felt padding there, but is not irritating on the forehead, and nil concern when wearing hats.
