One suggestion is try not to put too much flour/mix liquid as it will over flow. If you plan on placing the sweet red bean inside, do not too much and cover it with a good layer of flour/mix, otherwise u will make a mess and have the beans outside. This pan is reasonably priced and really good quality. It makes perfectly toasty taiyaki, and as you can see from this picture, the kid can’t take their hands off of them.I made the Taro homemade using 2 LB of taro root, one can of sweetened condensed milk, one can of evaporated milk, some salt and vanilla extract. If you can add a little bit of milk, if you want it less thick. I freeze this in a Ziploc bag and last me six months!I found a really great taiyaki recipe online, the trick is to use tapioca flour in combination with all purpose flour. Google “Mochi Taiyaki Waffles” to get the recipe below!1 cup all-purpose flour1 cup Mochiko flour (or tapioca flour)2 tablespoons sugar3 teaspoons baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt1 3/4 cups whole milk2 eggs1 teaspoon vanilla ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty good *by on Reviewed in the United States December 29, 2025* Love it I used it a few times. It's easy to clean, only issue I have is the actual cake part is small. Otherwise it works perfectly fine, fair warning thought it's very easy to overfill so a bit will leak out if overfilled.
