Long Answer: On high mileage vehicles its not uncommon for small particles of sludge to make it way through the oil... especially after an oil change. The idea of the screen or filter is to prevent anything from clogging the sensor. I've had that cause a sensor to fail, and I've also seen the screens clogged. Theoretically the screen catching something could allow the sensor to work allot longer. On properly maintained vehicles and lower millage, never noticed debris... sensor usually leaked internally and caused the connection to fail. Hope that helps. **Q: Anyone else have it fail after only one month?** A: Yes. 13 months & less than 10k miles. **Q: Will this fit a 2013 camaro ss 6.2?** A: Not sure. I put it in a 2009 Yukon XL 5.3L. It's been working great for a year. So far so good! This installation video was great. https://youtu.be/2PRTkFH8xsM **Q: Will this fit a 2009 gmc sierra 1500 4wd 5.3l?** A: Yes. It fit my 2009 Yukon XL 5.3. A little tricky to install. I watched this video and followed his instruction exactly and it just took about 20 min to change. https://youtu.be/2PRTkFH8xsM ## Frequently Bought Together - GM Genuine Parts 12673134 Engine Oil Pressure Sensor - 917-143,12585328 Engine Oil Pressure Sensor Filter for GMC,Buick 5.3L,Cadillac 6.2L,6.0L;Chevy Express Silverado Yukon Sierra Tahoe Impala 4.8 5.3L Oil Pressure Sensor Filter 12677836 12673134（1PCS) - Oil Pressure Sensor Socket,1 1/16 Socket Switch Fits 3/8" Drive or 1 1/8" Hex Wrench,Professional Oil Pressure Switch Socket for Quick Removing/Installing Oil Sending Unit (Black) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ni/products/335244721-12673134-engine-oil-pressure-sensor](https://www.desertcart.ni/products/335244721-12673134-engine-oil-pressure-sensor) --- *Product available on Desertcart Nicaragua* *Store origin: NI* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
