## Questions & Answers

**Q: so which filter does this use? Link?**
A: I use a Goldtone Reusable filter, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MY0BDX8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 cusg . It lasts a long time so you don't have to keep buying paper filters

**Q: how long is the brewing cycle?**
A: Hi Scott,
Thank you for your interest in this Black + Decker coffee maker. Our 12-cup coffee makers will brew at the rate of approximately one cup per minute. If you need further assistance, I’d be happy to help! Please contact us at youropinionmatters@spectrumbrands.com and reference the screen name used in your question so that we may better assist you.

**Q: Can you not use coffee filters with this?**
A: Thank you for your question, Lol67. This coffee maker will work with a basket-style (flat-bottom) 8-12 cup coffee filter. The filter can be either paper or a permanent mesh.

**Q: Does this turn off auto after time I hate returning to pot to find cool coffee**
A: All you have to do is push the on off button to restart the two hour auto shut off feature. When I get a cup of coffee and it’s been about an hour since brewing I simply hit the button off / then on again to get an extra two hours. Repeat as often as needed.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Only Brand I'll Ever Buy
*by J***R on September 19, 2026*

Grounds in coffee: if you are getting grounds in your coffee, put the basket in, close the lid and THEN set the coffee pot in. If not, the pot pushes the basket up and you will get a lot of grounds. These are the best coffee machines! This is the 2nd one I've owned, it's over 4 years old. When it goes out? I will buy another one. They are consistent and reliable. They are also built to last.
