Long answer: It has a specific routine it goes through when it loses signal. The first thing it will do is just stop and wait for a better signal. After a few seconds if it fails to find the controller it will retrace it's steps for a few seconds until it finds the controller. If it still fails to find that controller, it will run the go-home command - it will ascend to a pre-determined altitude (by you) and then fly straight to the home point and land. **Q: How long is the flight time?** A: Hi there, the Max Flight Time (no wind) of DJI Air 2S is 31 minutes. Thanks. **Q: Is the 31 minutes of flight time for each battery or 31 minutes total using the 3 batteries?** A: It's more like 22 minutes to be reasonable. I don't get why they advertise 31 minutes when the actual flight time is anywhere from 22 to 25 minutes in perfect conditions. If you were flying the thing a few feet off the ground in a climate controlled stadium, maybe you can get 31 minutes but this isn't typical flight. What they say is flight time is the time it takes to turn it on, connect to the controller, check for the communist geofencing clearance, fly to your goal, fly back, and land. It will force land at certain battery percentages depending on altitude and it judges all of this based on the "Normal Mode", so if it takes 20 seconds to get to the ground in sport mode, it's going to force land at 40 seconds if that's how long it would take in normal mode becuase it will default into normal mode when force landing. **Q: Can I use an iPad instead on my cellphone for bigger screen purposes?** A: Yes. I use 12.9" iPad Pro 2017 (second gen) with the DJI Fly App. The bigger display works great. Dji specs list galaxy s20 and s21 as compatible. Not the s22. I called dji. They acknowledged there had been some issues but assured me returning would not be a problem if needed. Also they said download the dji fly app and if it opens I should be good. Made the purchase and app loads and opens and takes stills and videos. Flys like a champ. IMO this is your best money for under 1000. I shopped the mini 3 pro and this has more protection against crashing. Nice machine. No question of quality. Expensive toy and need more time to play. Very nice purchase. Would recommend. Debated dji direct or best buy and went with Amazon. No regrets. It's 50 dollars cheaper than mine and I got a deal. You can't pass the current 799 price up. Better than a mini by far. Far better.
