We are thinking of purchasing for tailgating, need a fairly quick cool down.** A: I purchased a 22 inch blackstone for tailgating and had the same concern. I just seasoned it and had it up to 500 degrees on a 90 degree day. After I shut it down I checked the surface temp with a heat gun. In 25 minutes the surface went from 500 to 100 degrees. **Q: How high would this griddle be with the hood detached?** A: Upon measuring our griddle from the griddle without the top to the ground is approx. 34". However the legs are adjustable and our ate the whole up out for adjustment. **Q: Can this unit be used indoors** A: This unit is meant to be used outdoors to get the best and safest use.
