It's 1-1/2 inches from top to bottom, but with the fabric cover the actual foam inside is probably about 1" **Q: are they machine washable?** A: The Sweet Home card on the front the bundled cushions says, "Care instructions: wipe clean with a damp cloth." The white tag on the cushion says that they are machine washable. So, I don't know which is true. **Q: Are they comfortable?** A: Very comfortable. Nice n thick but not extra firm. Fabric is of good quality and stitched well. **Q: Is the nonslip backing made of latex?** A: The tag says polyurethane. No mention of latex.
