The hinge can be mounted as far away from inside edge of opening. The minimum overlay though is 1 3/8” **Q: Does the photo (where it's showing the frame and the door at 90 degrees of one another) in the open or closed position?** A: That is in the open position **Q: How much weight can these hinges support? Total weight of a door they can hold?** A: These hinges are for cabinet doors only.
