## Description

Here at Nalgene we have very high standards when it comes to calling a container leakproof. We fill up the container and then pressurize it. If it does not leak we consider it to pass the test and be worthy of being called leakproof. We test the jars by filling them with water and then turning them upside down. If no water comes out we consider the jar to pass the test. So jars will hold liquid but they are not held to as high a standard as the bottles. The jars may be a better choice for thicker liquids such as lotions or gels. And of course they are great for Tums, or Advil.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: "4 ozs. not leakproof?  Is that when the dispensing top is on?**
A: The flip top lids are not leakproof on airlines.  Even in carry-on luggage keep the regular lid on until you reach your destination then replace it with the flip top.  I'm overly cautious and place them individually in a snack size ziplock bag to avoid any possibility of a mess in my toiletry bag .

**Q: Are these BPA free?**
A: According to the Nalgene website, these bottles are BPA free.

**Q: Are any of these bottles good for contact solution?**
A: It will hold the solution fine, but it won't dispense it one drop at a time. Nalgene sells a dropper - search for "Nalgene drop bottle" that works well for eye drops.

**Q: Has anyone has any issues with TSA not allowing them to carry-on the "medium" size pack of containers?**
A: YES I have had to toss 4 oz. bottles before.  It's disappointing that a "travel" pack doesn't sell products of 100 ml (~3.2oz).
