Had them put in last year but one keeps flickering** A: I assume you are not very familiar with doing this sort of thing, but if you have a spare lamp of the same type, then replacing the faulty lamp should be quite simple, providing there is nothing unusual about your particular installation. Firstly, make sure the mains power is turned off at the main power switch in the premises. Confirm that the lamps do not come on if you operate their local on/off switch. Grasp both sides of the old lamp with your fingernails behind the rim and pull down. (If you don't have strong fingernails, you could use something like a flat screwdriver to allow you to get your fingertips behind the rim.) You will be pulling down against the pressure of two spring-loaded retaining clips, one on each side of the lamp. Pulling firmly will free these clips from the hole in the ceiling. (You may want to tackle this carefully, releasing one side at a time, and using your fingers to stop the spring clip from snapping back sharply.) The lamp will now be dangling from the ceiling by its electrical supply cable. A short distance from the lamp (about 10cm) there should be a connector of some sort, and this connector will typically be enclosed in a small insulating plastic box. Open the box (if there is one) to gain access to the connector itself. Loosen the two screws that grip the brown and blue wires that come from the lamp, and pull these wires free. The lamp is now removed! Compare the new lamp to the old one. There is a small green 3-position switch on the side of the lamp that sets how warm or cold the light tone will be. Set the switch on the new lamp to the same position as the old lamp, so that you will get the same lamp tone. Then installing the new lamp just involves the reverse procedure to removal. Make sure you have loosened the connector screws sufficiently to allow the new wires to be inserted, then tighten the screws to grip the new wires. (The wires have little brass ends to make this task easier.) When inserting the lamp into the hole in the ceiling, you will need to hold the spring clips folded back until they have entered the hole. If you don't feel comfortable doing any of this yourself, I am sure you will find someone who is familiar with doing such work. **Q: I bought six lights in Jan 2023 and in the last few days 4 out of 6 have failed two are very dim and one is flashing replace/refund please** A: We have had no problems with ours.
