A: I would think the 1/2 pint basin would be suitable for a single portion steak pudding as I have used them to make 8oz Christmas puddings, with serve two people.

A: Hello,
Thank you for your question,
NO they are not oven proof ,
They are boilable ,or safe to use in a pressure cooker, but you must NOT let them boil dry,
They can also go in the micro wave .
The ONLY way to use them in the oven is in a bain marie but again do not let it boil dry the maximum oven temperature is 160 centigrade

Excellent plastic pudding basins with lids for steaming puddings eg. Christmas Puddings! This batch of four basins were to replace a set I have used for quite a few years which obviously had seen better days. As prices go they are good value and well made. Wouldn't be without them.
