What stood out: ​Build Quality & Durability: The braided nylon outer sleeve feels thick and premium, resisting kinks and abrasion much better than standard PVC patch cords. The RJ45 connectors have sturdy clips with good latch protection, seating firmly into the port with a reassuring click. ​Performance & Stability: Consistently delivers full line speed with minimal jitter and zero dropped packets. The internal foil shielding (F/FTP) does an excellent job keeping signal clean and free from interference, even when routed right past power strips and behind a crowded desk setup. ​Length: At 1 metre, it’s the sweet spot for clean, direct patch runs—such as connecting a PC, console, or dock to a nearby wall jack, router, or switch without leaving a massive coil of excess cable. ​Keep in mind: ​The cable is slightly thicker and stiffer than basic Cat 5e/Cat 6 patch leads due to the heavy shielding and braiding. It bends fine around corners, but it requires a slightly wider turn radius in tight spaces. ​Cat 8 bandwidth (up to 2000MHz/40Gbps) is overkill for typical home broadband, but it ensures complete future-proofing and maximum interference protection for local network transfers and low-latency gaming. ​Reliable, well-constructed short patch cable that feels built to last.
