IDS requires a VCM2 or VCM3. Hope that helps you. **Q: Does this unit work with nissan's consult 3+?** A: Unlike previous comment I have yet to make it work with consult III+ R2R even on the nissan website it states that the only device compatible is the cardaq 3 but if there's any input on how or what one needs to do so it can be recognize by the program please do let us know. As far as consult III+ goes I believe the only versions that somewhat work are the old version like v65-v81 but very limited to what you can do. **Q: Is this a tool only or does it come with all the cable** A: It comes with the OBD2 cable to connect with the car. **Q: Will this flash an ecm for a 2015 chevy sonic back to stock? i currently have a tune on it.** A: Yes it will. You will need the software that Chevy uses. Ford uses a system called FJDS and FRDS… or believe GM uses a so called SPS. It can bee interesting. ### ⭐ Sorry I purchased this *by A***R on October 14, 2021* First off when I registered it I received a message telling me this device belongs to someone else do you still want to register it I went ahead and register it. Unless you buy additional software all it’s good for is a j3534 pass through. I was working on a GM vehicle I was not sure if I bought tech2 software if that is all I could use it for was GM. If you were going to buy additional software you would probably be better off buying this with the laptop and software already to go.
