Review: Nice product. - The product is clumpy, I assume because it is attracted to itself. The consistency reminds me of cold chocolate pudding. So you must have patience when applying this, or you'll waste product. I applied 3 thin coats, and then normal paint on top of that. I did not wait between coats because each layer was dry by the time I started over, since I used thin coats. I would have done more coats, but the can is SMALL. Hence, I only painted the center third of my child's wall. It will not hold anything heavy, but it does work with small magnets, kids play magnets, and earth magnets. If I ever get more patience and more money to spare, I'd buy again and make up another use for it.

I was able to finish the areas I highly desired with 3 coats, and I had a strong magnet to try on it, but it barely held, let alone a frame or even a piece of paper. So I tried another can, so I could make my 6 coats, and I don’t notice a difference from when I only had 3 coats. I even proceeded to order their magnets to try on their paint, just in hopes, maybe that’s what I was missing. But still no different. In fact, I have yet to paint over it, which I’m dreading, because they called it grey, but it came out to be black once I used it, and I’m sure 1 coat of latex paint is not going to cover it, along with the fact, I can’t help to think painting over it will only weaken what little magnetization there is…$50 down the drain, just on the magnetize it paint, let alone the magnets and extra latex paint in order to paint over it.

**Q: Can I use this on a (currently non magnetic) stainless steel fridge and expect it to hold up chunky, touristy magnets?**
A: Magnetize-It! Works on steel/metal and will hold most touristy magnets. A heavy/bulky tourist magnet may need a Neodymium rare earth magnet added for the strongest hold. Thank you for your inquiry.

**Q: How much surface area does one can cover?**
A: Per 32 ounce can, one layer of Magnetize-it Standard, High Standard and Premium, applied with an ordinary roller, will cover approximately 60, 80 and 100 sq. ft. respectively. High Standard and Premium apply in a thinner, easier-to-spread, smoother texture due to MNP content (magnetic nano particles). Surface cover can vary, depending on painting method, surface, and desired holding power.

**Q: Will this leave texture? Will it smooth out after applying chalk paint? Should i sand it between layers? Feels rough.**
A: Hello, you can sand between layers but it may lower the magnetic quality and can be messy. Our High Standard is smoother and Premium yield is the smoothest version of our magnetic paint. Thank you for your inquiry.

**Q: The wall I am painting has orange peel texture. Should I prep the wall before painting for a flat surface, or will this paint cover the texture??**

Applying Magnetize-It! paint to your walls will not alter the existing texture your walls already have. It is designed to be the layer that is directly underneath your desired paint color, unless your goal is a black room of course.

Use this paint to make a magnetic board to hang signs on. Has good coverage whenever painted, not too bad a smell. I used it to make a magnet board for grandkids to play with.
