A feature essential for tossing the walker into the car or into the belly of an airplane. I got some cordura nylon fabric to make a covering for it to put it in at the door of the airplane. I hope that will protect it somewhat. This is a high quality walker. I can walk OK, but my arthritis makes it very difficult to stand for more than a few minutes. The Mobility Explore worked well. I was able to put it together in 10-15 minutes (I didn't even read the instructions). It doesn't fold up to a really small size, but it's fairly light and it stays folded, thanks to a simple clip. We were able to take it on buses, move it through the airport, and carry it up and down stairs with little trouble. The seat is very comfortable, and if you have a bad back like me, the padded, flexible back strap is much better than a padded bar. After three days at an amusement park, the rollator is still in great condition. The wheels are in good condition. I think my only complaint was that the front wheels sometimes flipped around back to front, making it a little difficult to maneuver. But it was always stable.
