I've used it for general web surfing as well as database input and spread-sheeting so it will be ideal for general home and office use.It's sensitive and all the buttons work as required. l was using a mouse mat and soon found it better to use the mouse direct on the surface of my desk - there are small pads on the bottom of the mouse that caught on the mat, so worked better without. The grip is comfortable to work with in my medium size hand and the wheel and feature buttons naturally fit where you need them. NOTE it is designed for right-handers! I read other comments about size - I think this is plenty big enough for laptop or desktop use.The 56 inch (142cm) cable was plenty long enough for my desktop pc but worth checking for suitability before purchase - I could not see this listed on Amazon.Overall this appears a very well designed and made product, and the appeal to the buyer must be in the features compared to other more expensive offerings.
