No need to lift the handle again to shift gears until you either need to access Reverse or Park. From Drive, lift the handle straight up & this will bypass the reverse lockout safety feature, then move the shift handle forward into Reverse or Park. The reverse lockout feature meets NHRA & IHRA safety regulation..
- To use the ratcheting function at the strip, shift into low gear, launch the vehicle & hit the shifter forward when it is time to shift. You cannot over-shift & miss a gear. The chrome bezel, shift stick & knob are all accented by the black console, flat boot & deep blue medallion.
