Just enlarge one of the holes and use one of the rods. That way you can just swing away the to, plop in the tofu from the tub, swing the top back, and press it. No need for a second rod. No need for the wing nuts. The holes are too tight to just push the top down, and using the screws is WAY too tedious. So I drilled out the hole larger and made it a lot easier to use.
