Can the direction be changed so that it sits sideways?** A: Yes, the part where you place your face is attached to the frame with velcro. Although I never tried it, I believe you can slip the u-shaped bar under a mattress or firm couch cushion to have it going sideways. In my opinion this is the best piece of equipment if you need to be face-down for any length of time.
