Review: Work Bench Portability - Quite an excellent set of casters that makes it easy to move my new workbench around the shop. I installed them up 1 3/8" (1.4" per their sheet) from the bottom of the legs using the 6 screws for each as provided. The bench is made with 8 - 4x4s, 6" screws & 2 - 3/4" 4'x8' ply that weights in over 200 #s (so far with more options to add) so a means to move it was a requirement. Foot or an easy push with my hand to engage for a 360 convenient movement over the concrete floor. Reasonable price and they included a thin wrench to help install the nut w/lock ring caster setup onto the bracket. I plan to order more sets for the table saw, jointer, etc.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the minimum amount of space needed above the bracket for the handle to swing enough for the wheel to be disengaged?**
A: On mine, it rises about 3" above the top of the base plate when the leg is completely down.  In that position, the lever is roughly at a 45 degree angle (ie, not straight up).

**Q: What size bolts will fit in the screw holes?  I plan to mount the casters on metal legs.**
A: Use size #10 (3/16 inch) to fit existing holes. I did't have these screws on hand so I drilled the holes oversize for 1/4 inch. 2 on top and 2 on the bottom.

**Q: Can the kit be mounted on the inside of the legs? It will be out of the way and give max storage.**
A: The closer you mount the lifts to the center of gravity of the table, the more unstable it becomes.  The table is most stable when the lifts are mounted on the outside of the narrow dimension.  IOW, a 24x60 table will benefit most from mounting the lifts on the 24" axis, giving it about 32" wide stance while on the wheels.

**Q: When locked in the lift position, how far off the floor is the lifted item? In inched please.**
A: Instructions show 1" between bottom of bracket and bottom of table leg, and then if you look hard enough, you find 3/4" lift in the onscreen text.  Mine was different (do one and see if you get the same!):  2" distance from bracket bottom to leg bottom gives zero lift.  I installed mine 1.75" and got 1/4" lift:  perfect for me.

Quite an excellent set of casters that makes it easy to move my new workbench around the shop. Works as advertised. Allows me to move a heavy workbench around with ease. Took one star off because of no instructions on how to properly mount the wheels and because the supplied wrench doesn’t fit the wheel nuts ( too small by a fraction). I had to find another wrench that worked- luckily I had a thin one.
