We used to have to stop the machine and stir it up but not anymore! The only time this wouldn’t be your best choice is if you are making single serve. It splashes and sprays it on the sides too much when I make small amounts. But for large quantities, this low profile pitcher gets the food to the blades better with its wide base and longer blades. I just got off the phone with customer service. Amazing customer service experience! This place is 5 stars. They stand behind their product no matter what. The machine itself is a beast. (I realize this review is for a pitcher.) That motor is whirling several times a day every single day at my house. We visit family and we bring it with us! And our relatives love that their guests provide a delicious healthy breakfast for everyone. I mean, we are 100% Vitamix fans. My husband makes healthy smoothies/ shakes everyday.
