MANY. TIMES. But... the truth is, my kid loves this book. So much so that we've had to buy it multiple times. The first copy came from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. My daughter was old enough to fall in love with the book and want it read every night, but unfortunately not old enough to be trusted to not rip out the pages. So we purchased another copy, which came quickly (thanks, Amazon) and put us back in bedtime business. Then she caught a stomach bug and threw up all over the new copy, which she STILL wanted to read. The replacement copy couldn't come soon enough. In the past few months she has moved on and doesn't want Just One More every night, but she still goes back to it from time to time, and there was a period of about six months when she absolutely had to have it every single night.Because there's not much copy and the pictures are really engaging, this is a great book for adding interaction. My husband started referring to his nightly reading as the "Rocky Horror Just One More" because he and my daughter developed a whole set of responses to each page (he would say "Just one more minute" and she would snore, he would say "Just one toy in the tub" and she would say "Splash, splash," etc.). Sometimes we would read it with our daughter's name in place of Ruby's, which she loved. Peak Just One More age for us was around two years old.This isn't a book I ever would have picked out for my kid, but I love how much she loves it.
