**Q: Will this work with 1 1/2" PVC as the exit pipe going into this fitting?**
A: Yrs

**Q: There is no room for a hose clamp it looked like my old one had a sealent between this and the abs pipe sticking down on top of the tank?**
A: We purchased for a contractor to install it. Sorry unable to answer your question

**Q: What type of sealant can be used**
A: I didn’t use sealant. Tight fit once pipe was inserted.  Kind of pain to get seated but worth the effort.

**Q: Is this to thread a fitting into it or to just press fit the 1 1/2” pvc?**
A: The fitting is used on a grey water or black water tanks usually at the lowest point of your tank. It is applied through the tanks wall being rubber it flexes and seals both inside and outside but use an applicable adhesive to seal the outside ring. A 1-1\2" pipe then is placed over the outer part of the grommet and again use a suitable adhesive to glue together.

These work nicely but you will need to soak it in very hot water. Boil water and then remove it from the heat source and pour the hot water into a container with the grommet in it, enough to cover the entire thing. Wait 3-5 minutes, then fish it out with a screwdriver or something, dry it off with a towel (so you don't have hot water on your fingers, because the rubber itself is hot and hard to hold, and then promptly begin installing the grommet. I used this method for a 1-1/2 inch one and it worked well. I did have to use a mini pry bar I had next to me to get the last but to go into the tank but it didn't take much force, and it didn't damage the hole in the tank. I didn't bother with any sealant, since this is just a grey water tank, and it's on the top, so it should be good and sealed well enough. Use dish soap or blue glass cleaner to lubricate the pipe you are going to be pushing through the grommet and rock it back and forth gently while pushing, and it'll go in nicely.
