In my head, the idea was that he would put all his odds and sods in it and then put the lid on to hide the eyesores and my inner peace and harmony would remain intact. The Ottoman is well made, easy to put up and is very sturdy. It's got a slight tweedy texture to the fabric and the colour is grey. All good. The size is perfect and fits down the side of the sofa just right. It could be used for all sorts of different uses and the split flip up lid is a very good design. BUT... my OH has filled it up with his clobber and then uses the top as a table for even more useless "should be put away somewhere" items. Newspapers, gardening magazines, post, charger cables, knee brace, random tin with even more random items in it that I have no idea of their origins. All sat proudly on show!
