Too short for water to accumulate on the glass, so it makes an annoying squeaky noise and also wears out the wiper if you leave it on. I installed this device in line with the power from the switch for the rear wiper, and set it so that it will trigger the wiper every 30 seconds. Took me a couple of hours to figure out how to install/wire/program the whole thing and then put all of the interior bits back into the jeep. The new, longer interval is much better. It works perfectly, though. The instructions are very clear and the unit itself is rather intuitive to set up and program. The device has numerous other features and programmable settings to do more complex operations than what I used it for. Seems to be a good price for what it is capable of doing. I hope that it lasts a long time! If it craps out earlier than I arbitrarily believe it should, then I will come back here and complain about it in this review. Review: Quality component. No problems found using a 5V automotive converter. I especially like the various "programs" offered by the manufacturer. In ours we have a 12 volt DC motion detector as the trigger. When the motion detector senses motion it sends a 12 volt signal to the relay on the trigger side. That initiated the timer. Ours is set in the P2 mode which makes the timer reset each time it receives a signal. In other words if we set it for 900 second, which is 15 minutes, and the motion detector sends another signal to the timer at the 400 (or any other time) second mark, as it counts down, it will reset to 900 seconds each time. You will need DC voltage on the float switch to make it work. **Q: Can this be setup to leave the relay on until the contact input is released and then wait 20 seconds before releasing the relay?** A: Yes. Program P7 will energize the relay immediately after a high or low trigger, then delay a set interval after the signal stops before de-energizing. **Q: What are the dimensions of this board please? Do you have any recommended enclosures?** A: Outside dimensions are 1.513"(38.42mm) wide and 3.143"(79.83mm) long. Thickness is .783"(19.9mm). Hole spacing is 1.25"(31.75mm) by 2.9"(73.67mm). You need space at both ends of the board for the wires, and if you are going to use the micro USB connector, you need space at the top edge also. The board has components mounted to the bottom, so when mounting it into a box, you need to use standoffs, Parts on bottom stick out 1/8"(3mm). I would recommend a plastic box with plastic standoffs. The board comes with plastic feet that clip into the mounting holes, but they are not useful for permanent mounting. The enclosure is determined by the voltage used, and the type of environment. (low voltage or AC mains, indoor or outdoor, wet or dry) I used mine to drive a 120V AC motor, indoor. So I used a plastic Bud Box, and a solid state relay to switch the current. (I needed to switch about 15 amps) I had to make holes in the box to vent the heat from the solid state relay heat sink and low voltage power supply. If outdoors, it would have been a sealed box, and probably made out of cast aluminum to dissipate the heat from the solid state relay. (The box itself would be the heat sink) I would recommend a Hammond or Bud enclosure. The cheap Uxcell enclosures I purchased were both crap and needed modification/repair before I could use them. I chose this one over the many others because the function display appeared best (and it is). It is easy to set; with a little practice, you can easily memorize the very logical steps to set the various modes. I have explored all the timing modes, and P7 often suits my needs perfectly. It has fast startup, and can trigger when signal and power are applied simultaneously. Both high and low inputs are active, so it is possible (as in my case) to trigger and block timing by both these channels in opposition. So far, it seems to have good noise immunity, and works correctly every time. The instructions are an imperfect translation, but they do send a spec. sheet with the timer (which they keep improving with each order). I'm still prototyping, but plan on using these to time an automatic backup generator run for my PV system. I ordered more. More details to come as I finalize the application circuit. [UPDATE] I now have 5 of these involved in my project. I'm using P1 and P7 as general time-out programs, and P6 for the auto-starter (which cycles the starter every few seconds until the generator starts, or the cycle times out). I even use one to beep a warning horn for a few seconds before the actual starter engages, so anyone nearby is aware of the pending startup. I never would have pursued such a project if I hadn't found these!
