## Description

This heavy duty strap filter wrench has a heavy duty, heat treated alloy steel yoke and strong web strap. This strap filter wrench is used with a 1/2 inches drive to remove or install filters and other objects up to 6-1/2 inches in diameter. The 3-5/8 inches long yoke fits into tight areas.

Review: Worked great on Big Blue water filter - I could not get the big blue filter loose with the plastic wrench that came with the system. A youtube video pointed me to this device so I bought it. Note that it uses a 1/2 inch ratched, not the more common 3/8. My local Home Depot did not have a 1/2” ratchet, so I got a 1/2” breaker bar. It was not quite as easy to use but once the wrench was tight it was great and the filter came off with little trouble. This wrench did not really have any instructions with it so it took a couple minutes to figure out how to use it, but it was not that hard.

Made with heavy seat belt webing strap it grips tight and hard. The forged steel ratchet bar can handle a long breaker bar with no issue. Lisle does it again!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Regarding use with a big blue whole house filter... what else besides this product do I need?  A ratchet or what?  I.e. what goes in the metal handle?**
A: This will be the only strap you will ever need.  We could not loosen our whole house water filter aside from breaking it!  This strap did the trick, amazingly easy.  I cannot answer what he used for leverage, screw driver or something, but boy, are we happy with this thing.

**Q: Would this work on engine pulls to hold them still while removing bolts?**
A: I do not think this what you need. This is for oil and fuel filter removal in the automotive and truck field. In its proper use, it works excellent in tight access areas.

**Q: How long is this strap?**
A: just over 25 inches of usable length. 26 inches to the bar.

**Q: How small of a filter will it fit?  down to 2.5” like a polaris rzr filter?**
A: I use mine on larger diameters but, after checking my strap on a propane bottle, just under 3", it appears it would work. I also checked it on a bottle of pneumatic oil, which is at 2.5" and if it were not for the bottle being flexible, I believe it would work. I purchased my strap wrench to loosen water filter housings and it is the only one of the three I have that would work. Worth a try. PS, I would try my wrench on my oil filer on my lawn tractor but I really do not want to loosen it. plus, it is 3" in diameter. Hope this helps

If you have a water filter case that is stuck, this is the tool you need. I tried everything and nothing worked. I was ready to spend a lot more to replace the whole thing and then I saw this. It was easy to use and works great!
