## Description

Replacement for model No. NH1204M security fixture.

Review: YAY! Finally! - A starling flew into my old cover and broke it three years ago. It took that long to find a replacement cover that didn't involve buying a whole new light and calling an electrician. I FINALLY found this cover! It fit my light perfectly and was easy to install. The price is just right. So happy with this purchase!
Review: Easy way to restore or renew your security light. - 8/2/2019 Review: This review addresses this Cooper Lighting 800-0713 Lens Refractor, the Cooper Industries (Regent) 1011-6424 SL3120 Twist Lock Photo Control, and the Philips 319657-H39-KB-175 Mercury Vapor Light Bulb (component parts) that I purchased together on desertcart for my very easy and significantly cost-saving outdoor security light restoration project. Background: Our 15-year-old Cooper (NH1204) ballasted 175 watt mercury vapor outdoor security light (a/k/a "bucket light") is mounted about 11 feet high on the exterior of our house to shine on our front area and driveway. It had not been working for quite awhile, and I finally decided recently to quit slacking and get busy to tackle getting it working or replaced. The plastic lens refractor had become useless from 15 years of exposure to typical "seasonal" Texas weather and intense Texas sunlight. It had turned orange, was extremely brittle, and was virtually disintegrating when touched. FYI, the plastic lens refractor was/is 9 inches diameter at top where it is mechanically fixed (by circumferential rolled metal lip over plastic flange) to the metal shroud to make a single pre-connected unit. The plastic lens is not designed for simple or easy removal from the metal shroud. So, although the original metal shroud was/is still good and useable after lightly cleaning it up, it has become an unused spare part on our garage shelf with our purchase of the new Cooper Lighting 800-0713 Lens Refractor that replaces the virtually identical old metal shroud and old plastic lens as a single connected unit. Not really an expensive waste. The Cooper Industries (Regent) 1011-6424 SL3120 Twist Lock Photo Control replaces the virtually identical original 15-year-old Longjoin JL-202A Photo Controller with its original clear plastic shell that had become yellowed and completely clouded from weather and sunlight exposure. The third item I recently purchased is the Philips 319657-H39-KB-175 Mercury Vapor Light Bulb to replace the original 15-year-old "H39KB175(R) 175 Watt 12-04" (manufacturer not identified). Project Details: So, other than a good, sturdy ladder, the only tool required was a simple phillips head screwdriver to remove two small screws (and washers) and detach/attach the shroud and refractor lens assembly that connects to the upper metal light box mounted to the house and containing the ballast, wiring connections, and bulb socket (the guts of the fixture). The two phillips head screws fit in elongated holes located on the underside of the metal shroud and flank each side of the larger single hole in the center of the top of the shroud that fits over the protruding ceramic bulb socket during shroud/lens refractor attachment and detachment. Very easy. Trust me, you will see. The two elongated holes are 4 and 1/2 inches on center and have an additional 1/4 inch to space on either side of center, I suppose to allow for variant spacing of threaded holes of the upper light box (e.g. from 4 and 1/4 inches to 4 and 3/4 inches) - or perhaps for easier attachment versus fussing with a precise little all-or-nothing hole). While up there on my sturdy ladder 11 and 12 feet from the pavement below, the elongated screw holes were greatly appreciated while I carefully worked! Of course, ALWAYS shut off all electrical power before doing any work on your light! Better safe than very, very sorry! Replacing and installing this Twist Lock Photo Control was actually easier than screwing the large mercury vapor light bulb in and out if its socket. Just a nearly effortless counter clockwise twist of about 1/2 an inch, then gentle wiggling pull up to remove it, and simple reverse process (push down gently and then a slight clockwise twist to secure). Just be sure to first line up the largest of the three copper prongs at the bottom of the photo controller with the largest of the three corresponding sockets. Easy. You will see. I have included a photo of the three old parts replaced with Sharpie markings I have made on the inside of the shroud to cross-reference with my comments. Easy way to restore or renew your security light for another 15 to 20 years without having to pay an arm and a leg and hassle with re-installation and re-wiring for a complete new replacement fixture.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ BEWARE! It will fit in only one way. Read this first!
*by S***N on December 8, 2015*

This was a perfect fit for my old NH 1204M 175 watt fixture. The number stamped on the original aluminum was the same as the replacement, #513-078. BUT... there is one thing to be aware of. The two screw holes in both the original and replacement, are drilled just a little bit off from the diametric center. That means that the screw holes will only line up in one of the two possible mating positions. If the holes do not line up on the first try, just rotate the lens assembly 180° and they will line up. I read where someone had take a scissor to the thin aluminum to widen the hole. While that is indeed a solution, it is much easier to just turn the assembly half-way around (180°). I first talked to Cooper Lighting and found out that this will fit several other models too. Hope this helps someone. I know I would have liked to have read this first. <laugh> Cooper's number is: 800-334-6871 option #2
