Review: when you buy the best you will always be happy with it. - nice water pack, sweet features, works great, built tough. i added saywer in line filter to it ( had to cut the line) , lost some water pressure but still works great. geigerrig makes there on filter that snaps in flows better pressure, cleans 50 gallons. i chose the saywer because it filters 10000 gallons and comes with a cleaning kit. either one or none its an awsome rig. Review: Not Ideal For Running - I bought this for use when I go on long runs in the heat. The pressure hose which connects to the valve/bulb frequently pulls apart letting all the pressure out. I have to stop my run to put it back together and pump it back up. I'd say this would be a decent pack for any activity where its not a big deal to stop and fix it (like hiking). The product came without a manual, so I had to search the web for videos on: a) how to fill the reservoir b) how to inflate the reservoir, and get water out of it. c) how to deflate The above tasks are easy, once you know how to do it. The tubes are supposed to be antimicrobial, I did not know that.There is a hydration chamber that connects to a water tube and right behind it is an air chamber where you pump in air to inflate the hydration chamber and make the water flow easily. The design is neat, especially the part where the tubes can be kept clean because you can squirt water into your mouth without having to suck. The tubes can be easily connected, disconnected by pressing the little gray switch where the tubes attach to the reservoir. Once detached, remove the hydration reservoir, and gently slide the top clip off to fill it. Then reconnect the tubes. There is a little knob to the side of the air pump. You need to turn it completely to the right in order for the pump to work and for you to fill air. Once that is done, pump is ready to use. I tried deflating the reservoir after detaching from the tubes. That doesn't work. Deflating has to be done with the air tube still attached. Just press the knob you had turned to the right and the reservoir deflates.
