We were gifted this book two kids (8 years!) ago and when it got a little too loved we had to toss it. I loved this book so much that I bought a replacement for my 1 year old. The pages are big with a white background which makes the photos pop. They are real photos (not illustrated) of each animal with names bold in both English and Spanish. Then book is good quality & has vibrant colors. This is hands down one of my favorite baby books & a must in my opinion! I would say great for ages 1-2

Love how the book is bilingual and good quality. My 9 month old likes to put it in her mouth and so far it has been holding up very well. My baby seems very engaged when I read her this book. She especially loves the dog picture in the book.

This book is so cute and great for teaching animals and animal sounds. I wanted a book with photos of animals and this is perfect. There are lots of different animals, and the pages are bright and engaging.

We own all four books in this collection. We are a bilingual household and this books are a great tool for building vocabulary for our son. He loves to look at the pictures and point at them and wait for me to say the word. He is one now but we have been reading them since he was 5 or 6 month old. He can look at the pages of these books for an hour. It's amazing how engaged he can be with these little books. They have one picture per page. Very simple, just the picture of the object and the words written below. The pages are not super busy like other picture books that have tons of objects per page. I believe this is highly effective in keeping my baby engaged.

I love this book, I fell in love with it, it's a very good book.

I sent this book to my grandson as one of many gifts for his 1st birthday. His mom read it to him while he sat next to her, then she gave it to him to hold & explore, as she always does after reading him a book. Usually he will calmly hold & look at a book for a few minutes, then he's done. But he was so excited about this book he kept turning the pages & babbling passionately about it for 30 minutes! He really loves books, but his mom has never seen him so excited about a book before. She was so amazed at his reaction she texted me a short video of him after he'd been at it for 20 minutes, & he was still so excited, babbling up a storm, & he clearly said "book" 4 times. He kept it up for another 10 minutes until it was naptime. In total he spent 3 hours with the book the 1st day learning to make animal noises, & has already spent an hour with the book on the 2nd day before naptime. He has lots of good books, but his mom says this is the 1st book he's really had an emotional response to. So now I've added the other Bright Baby Bilingual books to his Gift Idea list. I'm glad the price is low.

When we received this book, I wasn't as happy about it. I thought the pictures were a bit dull and was afraid my son wouldn't like it. But he loves it! They hold his attention well and he loves to turn the pages. It has some more interesting animals in it than the typical cat, dog; though I do wish it had fewer of the animals like elephant and chimpanzee whose names are almost the same in both languages and more of the unique ones, but that's a really minor, personal wish rather than even a complaint. The best part about this book for babies, however, is the material it's made out of. I wish all board books were coated in whatever this is coated in, because it's the only book we have that he hasn't managed to chew off a chunk of the binding! I know I can hand him this book to look at when he's in his high chair or play pen and go do something else for a minute because he won't swallow pieces of it, and that alone is worth the money.

This is a super cute bilingual baby book. It has a picture of a one animal in every single page with a contrast background and the name of the animal in english and spanish. I have been reading this book and making animal noises while going through it since he was 5 months old. He has been infactuated with it and flips through the pages making baby noises. Had to purchase a second book since he destroyed the first. He is 10 months old and asks for the book by reaching for it and saying “boo” every single day before naps and before bedtime! He calls kittens “boo” and I also think this is why he loves this book so much because there is a picture of a cute kitten in it. So if your baby loves animals get this book! It is also nicely made out of thick dense carton and rounded edges.

great for raising a bilingual baby (or trilingual if you count baby signing!), has 26 animals which is good for a book this size, all colour photos rather than drawings or cartoons so you can teach what they really look like! only wish there were more! hard pages too so they can't be torn. def recommend!

An excellent book for bilingual kids

Compré este libro para mi hijo de 14 meses y le encanta tanto a él como a mi. Me gusta que sean fotos de animales reales y los nombres vienen escritos en español y en inglés. Perfecto para aprender las primeras palabras tanto en un idioma como en otro! La tapa y las hojas son duras lo que permite que mi hijo lo pueda manipular sin tener miedo a que se rompa. Además, es muy colorido y tiene el tamaño perfecto para llevarlo a todos los lados.
