Review: Great product definitly help! - We had an evaluation on our son about having Autism, where they said it was a possibility but they were going to diagnose him with being developmentally delayed. From our research he did share a lot of common symptoms of Autism. This being said my wife wanted to try this our and it really does help. I think this would help with most toddlers to be honest, we sent this to school with him one day on his backpack and it never came back! The teacher said it was a great tool for all the students and asked for more! For the price I wasn't willing to buy more for the school but my Wife told her to keep it. The teacher loves it and says it helps with all the kids when they are having fits/not listening. I would recommend it if you need a tool to help calm/explain to your child in a different way what you want them to do. (To be honest you could probably just make these yourself, I imagine the teacher just made copies and laminated them to make more. Thought these are a bit heavier duty than regular printer paper that's laminated)
Review: Great for school! - I am a school based OT and I have had these cards for over 2 years. I wear them everyday of the week. This company sells a communication deck as well and I combined them and took out the ones I don’t use (I found another company that had yes, no, sit, stand, walk, eat, and drink as well and added them too). I wear them on a lanyard around my neck with keys attached and have had absolutely no issues with wear or tear. Mine get flung around all the time too and they are very durable. They are wonderful for when your kiddo is in crisis and you need to focus their attention to help them calm or just for basic school expectations (and to help them express feelings). On occasion, I will hand them over to my students who are becoming bored/fidgety and want something to look at. I would recommend these along with the other decks that I purchased to make a handy communication visual that travels easily.

## Features

- Effective Behaviour Support – Visual aid helps children understand expectations on them and take charge of their actions. Nonverbal communication gives clear guidance on what behaviours are appropriate or not. Uses clear non-verbal instructions to reduce demand avoidance.
- Clear Communication – Combine positive and negative symbols – e.g ‘no hitting, touch gently’ – to ensure effective understanding and actionable behaviour. While phrases like ‘kind hands’ sound positive, they are too vague for many autistic children who struggle with abstract concepts.
- Simple Visual Tool – 22 pocket flash cards neatly organized on a clip-open binding ring. Easily rearrange the symbols as required to suit your child, or even leave some at home for ease of use. Versatile, portable behaviour strategy.
- Expertly Designed – Genuine Picture Communication Symbols (PCS). Designed by experts specifically for autistic children and those with ASD/ADHD. Used by millions globally for over 30 years. Probably already familiar to your child from school or therapy. Compatible with PECS cards.
- Sturdy And Practical – Premium plastic material. Waterproof, highly durable and easy to clean - perfect for an autism household! Will not split, rip or easily crease like laminated paper or cardstock. Will last for years.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why do you use symbols not photos? Don't photos work better?**
A: Using symbols instead of photos means the concept is generalised. A photo of Mom's car means going in Mom's car. Not Dad's, not Grandma's, not the babysitter's. And what happens if Mom gets a new car? A car symbol ensures consistency.

**Q: What makes your visual supports much more durable?**
A: Our visual are made from non-toxic plastic. The images are printed directly onto the plastic, so they can't split like laminated card, & are waterproof. They won't rip or crease like cardstock, yet they are lightweight and semi-flexible for safety.

**Q: What size are the symbols? Why are they this size? How many symbols come with the keyring?**
A: After much discussion with our customers, we have made each of the 21 symbols 2.5" / 7cm, with smooth rounded corners. Perfectly sized to conveniently fit in your pocket or attach to a lanyard, but still be easy to see from a distance.

**Q: Why are there so many negative behavior symbols? Isn't this depressing to be told what not to do all the time?**
A: Using only positive symbols can make it difficult for an autistic child to fully understand. We recommend pairing positive and negative symbols to improve understanding. E.g. combine 'no hitting' with 'touch gently' to clearly reinforce the boundary.

**Q: Can this be customised?**
A: Unfortunately not, because the plastic printing process means symbols need to be mass produced. However, it comes with 21 pre-printed symbols that have been chosen in consultation with our customers, with a blank card for your own symbol.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Visual behavior cues
*by B***E on February 16, 2026*

I work with the school district and alot of the students I work with have special needs and respond appropriately with these cue cards. Much better than a verbal cue. I carry them with me no matter where I go.
