I would say ignore the highbrow reviews about right or wrong lead actor etc. and just sit back and enjoy a good/OK film. OK so it isn't fizzing at the seams with high tech, and gun fights and the like, but it has enough interesting, and thought provoking ideas to make you actually come away asking questions, or, like me, saying that was a four star film. He's a monosyllabic action hero who likes kicking ass and he's brilliant at that. John Wick is a shining testimony of how to make best use his limited range.The core of the story is fascinating; the question of the human soul, are we just a collection of memories dancing around our beautifully complex neural network, nothing more? The cast tries their best but it's a mess, how it got the studio green light only a handful know and they'll keep that a secret I'm sure.
