The card performs as expected
The card works perfectly, mechanically and electrically, on a Raspberry Pi 3A+ running piCorePlayer / Squeezelite. I have not tried out the card's IR receiver. Squeezelite audio output settings I have successfully used are "HiFiBerry Digi+ Pro" and "HiFiBerry Digi2 Pro". These HiFiBerry "Pro" boards seem to use the same interface chip and have dual crystal oscillators as in this DollaTek product so this is as expected.

Works with the Raspberry Pi4
This arrived today, I was having problems with the audio through the USB port so I thought I would try one of these. Connected to my Pi4 then ran Picoreplayer changed the setting in the sound card settings and I was done. Very simple to setup and so far sounding great and plays upto 192khz files. At £18.99 it's a bargain

Great value - Hi-fi Berry Digi + for half the price
Slapped it onto an RPi 3 streamer build based on MoOde, it's detected as a Hi-fi Berry Digi + and works just fine. I've found that the optical sounds better than the coaxial where usually it's the opposite, great value!

Works but output is shifted down in pitch so unusable. Returned for a refund.
Tried on two different Raspberry Pi's and both have the same problem. Possibly a faulty board. I have no ordered the real thing from Hifi Berry.

Bad pitch
pitch is a mile out male voices sounded female, might be just a bad board. Think some one else had the same problem

Great Sound Great Price
This was an experiment really. I wanted to add a RPI based streamer to my hifi system to run Volumio. Some of the I2S to Spdif hat boards available cost a fortune and I didn’t want to commit to significant expense until I had proved that this was how to do what I wanted. I saw this while looking for a low cost hat board and noticed not only the chip quality but also the onboard power filter. For the price this is brilliant. I have a good system and this way out plays it’s cost. Streaming flac files over my home network from a headless Ubuntu server means that I hardly need another audio source. If you have a PI and an external DAC you can’t go wrong.

Dollatek digi performs well
The board fits easily in the rpi3 with the standoffs giving a good grip to the optical and coaxial ports. I installed piCore on the sd card as a player Squeezelite for my network.

Fantastic, works very well
It simply works. No issues with picore player or any other players.

Using it with Volumio as a "HiFiBerry Digi+ Pro" which works great. Arrived with the IR receiver squished down and shorting out which caused the whole board to not function at all. After bending the IR receiver back up everything started working (except possibly the IR receiver which I have not tried to use). Has a very bright green LED which can be annoying.
