We have a 1/2 acre spring fed pond with 2 bottom aerators. We had been through many other muck pellets, powders and those could not keep up or make any sort of a dent in the muck. We use to have about 3 inches of muck from leaves and grass and this has taken care of it! I break it up into 3 or 4 chunks and toss it in around the pond. It takes a long while, say 3 to 4 months to be noticeable but it works. Keep adding it every few months to keep up with the build up of muck. I have trout in the pond so I can not use most of the algae chemical removers. This keeps the food for the algae down so we don't have those green string algae blooms . We add a dark dye in summer months to help. Review: Easy to use but too soon to see results. - Dropped the block into my channel July 1 and it appears to be working as bubbles are coming up in the area. By the end of the month, I will know if it is making a difference. ## Features - Pond Muck and Sludge Remover: Kasco’s Macro-Zyme Muck Block pond equipment is the perfect choice to control and eliminate sludge and foul odors in tanks, ponds, and lakes. Results are best when the application instructions are closely followed and when the pond has an aerator or water fountain running in it to assist with maintaining good pond health. Please call us at (833) 779-2837 to speak with an aquatic biologist who can better answer your specific questions. Thank you and enjoy your pond! **Q: Have an acre pond how offen do you put these in how long do they last?** A: I think varies a lot. Our pond stays on the cool side and the pellet slow disappeared over a 3 to 4 month period. Have seen a huge difference in muck. This will be my third year using them. **Q: Where is this manufactured?** A: All Kasco Marine beneficial bacteria products are manufactured in the USA. Please contact us at (833) 779-2837 if you have any questions. Thank you and enjoy your pond! **Q: How big are the blocks? Are they the size of a softball?** A: The Kasco Marine Muck Block is a little bigger than a softball. Please let us know if you have any other questions, you can always reach us at 833-779-2837. By the end of the month, I will know if it is making a difference. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Muck Block *by M***R on March 27, 2025* These seem to last a little longer than the other muck blocks I've purchased for cheaper. Results are slow but water clarity has improved, the water color even seems to be less muddy. (I have used multiple products) I haven't had any damaged ones arrive. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ni/products/101195852-kasco-pond-probiotics-time-release-block-2-pack-12-lb](https://www.desertcart.ni/products/101195852-kasco-pond-probiotics-time-release-block-2-pack-12-lb) --- *Product available on Desertcart Nicaragua* *Store origin: NI* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
