Ship Madras Curry Powder 250g

I first tried this when a friend brought it back from India. It is by far the best curry powder I have ever had! I’m glad I was able to find it on Amazon!! It seems Madras Curry Powder is made in different variations, but this one is delectable and has a little kick to it. Not only do I make traditional curries with it, but I love it so much that even eat it sprinkled on popcorn. Something I learned they do at Disney Sea in Japan! This curry seasoning is the best! They do not sale these in the stores anymore. I was happy to find this on Amazon. Will continue to purchase as this seasoning is important in our household.

This is Madras Curry at its best and as I remembered from authentic Indian cuisine. Intense flavor, balanced, round, elegant with no single ingredient overpowering the other. It is spicy but the spiciness comes from the ginger which I love as opposed to the chili which I cannot stand. Yet the mix is so well balanced that the ginger flavor cannot be readily distinguished from the other ingredients. Strong smell but I love it as that is how Madras Curry is supposed to smell and what Madras Curry is supposed to be when used, in my experience. The tin is lovely. Great quantity for the price. My tin came with an expiration date of 02/2026 (bought Sept 28, 2024). Thank you to all the reviewers who wrote highly of this Madras Curry and helped me choose.

This curry powder has a nice pleasant aroma and flavor! Not very spicy, but nothing a few pinches of crushed red pepper can't fix. It makes a nice base blend that you can add to depending on the dish or your mood. I also love the tin that it comes in, which is aesthetically pleasing AND helps keep the powder nice and fresh.

So good. I made a chicken madras curry with this, and it was one of the best I have ever had. I want to purchase some for everyone I know and say you have to try this. So good! Toes were clapping.

Spice was about to expire and had no flavor at all. Strange cos in the past when I have bought this, even if it was past expiration, it was still flavorful. This was pretty flavorless. Useless, so it will be going in the trash.

Authentic Madras curry, smells great, so much better than the grocery store brands. And a huge bargain--it's an enormous tin of curry at a remarkably reasonable price. Can't go wrong.

Tasty as provided, doesn't require 'doctoring', other than perhaps a bit of chili powder for heat if you prefer hotter. Consistent taste over the years, well packaged, price reasonable.

Für meine Familie das beste Currypulver! Curry ist ja nicht gleich Curry wie man weiß und alles ist letztendlich Geschmackssache. Dieses Curry ist im Geschmack breit gefächert und wunderbar scharf, ohne die einzelnen Nuancen zu überdecken. Ich nutze es gerne für Gemüseeintöpfe oder eine unserer Lieblingsgerichte Curry-Ananas-Geschnetzeltes. Für das Geschnetzelte gebe ich drei, vier Esslöffel vom Pulver zu den Zutaten in die Pfanne und lasse es kurz mit anbraten, bevor mit Ananassaft abgelöscht und weiter abgeschmeckt wird. Wir haben schon etliche andere Currymischungen probiert von teuer bis günstig, von Supermarkt, Großhandel und Asiashop - aber keines dieser Pulver schlägt "das aus der grünen Dose mit Schiff".

... das das der geschmacklich überzeugendeste Madras Curry ist, den ich bisher kennen lernen durfte. Ich mag Curry, in unterschiedlichen Gerichten gibt es den Speisen einen Hauch von exotic. Der gängige "Supermarkt Madras Curry" ist meist lieblich... aber der hier hat einen kleinen Bums! Richtig dosiert eine äußerst schmackhafte dezente schärfe die sehr sehr angenehm das jeweilige Gericht ergänzt. Ich habe mich wegen der 5. Sterne Bewertungen verführen lassen und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Auch von mir 5. Sterne und eine Empfehlung für jeden der eine wirklich gute Madras Curry Mischung zu schätzen weiß. Top Produkt!

Bisher war ich ein überzeugter Fan der Madras-Currypaste von Asian Home Gourmet. Diese gibt es inzwischen aber nur noch in völlig überteuerten Minitütchen, daher musste Ersatz her. Alle anderen Pasten sind leider mit Säuerungsmittel versetzt und schmecken einfach nicht gut. So bin ich schließlich bei diesem Currypulver gelandet und bin wirklich begeistert. Wie bei allen Currypulvern wird der Geschmack noch besser, wenn man es in Gee oder Öl etwas anröstet. Mit ein wenig extra Curcuma und Ingwer ist der Geschmack für mich absolut perfekt und ist fast identisch mit der AHG Paste.

Schmeckt gut! Ist nur richtig scharf wenn man viel verwendet. Mit dem Deckel unhandlich, wir haben ihn in ein Glas aufgeschüttet.

Ich bin aufgrund der Qualität Wiederholungstäter! Dank der folierten Dose top Gewürz bis zum letzten Löffel. Nicht sehr scharf aber sehr aromatisch.
