Knife Set, Emo joy 15-Piece High Carbon German Stainless Steel Knife Block Set

Had these for a couple of months now. Needed to replace some 'cheap' block sets that had more than worn their welcome. These are pretty great for the price! Knives are sharp, attractive, and that it comes with a sharpener is just icing on the cake! Really happy with what we got. Edit: One Year Later. These were probably some of the best deal knives on the market when we got them, and it's only become more apparent over time using them. They're all one solid piece of metal, which is pretty rare at this price range, they keep a decent edge on them (though the included sharpener really means any sharpness problems usually get taken care of quickly, I've yet to need to use a whetstone or other sharpener or anything.) The variety of knives fulfills most of the tasks any basic home cooker could ask for, and the steak knives work well as well. I can slice through tomatoes as thin as I want, I can filet fish, I can cut tough (and soft) loaves of bread, and the wood block is not the most unattractive thing. I probably do it too much, but I throw them in the dishwasher generally to clean them, they've gained maybe some water spots here and there but no real rust issues or anything.

After using “Miracle Blade” knife collection from over a decade ago, I finally decided and opted to upgrade my knife collection; but where to begin?! There are so many, all ranging in prices high to low. After a lot of research and consideration, I landed on choosing these; and am NOT disappointed! They say that it’s dull knives that are a danger in the kitchen; and after using these flawless cutting utensils, I can understand that sentiment! Using these, I can cut with so much more confidence and accuracy! Cutting food both soft and hard feels accurate and can be sliced down with such confidence that I don’t think I ever have to worry about that danger ever again it feels! It is interesting that they even include a knife sharpener, because I don’t see these knives needing to be “sharper” for a long while still. And I was concerned that the handles weren’t the most ergonomic, but as these cut so well (at least for now, without depending on the sharpening tool), I don’t believe it’ll ever be an issue as these cut right and accurately the very first slice – so therefore you’re not sitting there cutting for such extended periods of time that it’ll start your hands to ache. In the end, the main thing I can say is that, based on my personal experience, you don’t be disappointed with these!

These are beautiful knives. My handles are never going to come off of these like my last set started to do. The handles are a part of the over all design, not an additional piece. This set includes a knife sharpener and a pair of scissors, and any and all knives you will ever need in the kitchen. It also has a beautiful knife holder made of hard wood, making it easy to grab the knife you need without sticking your hand in a drawer and getting it cut. These should last the rest of my lifetime. They are beautiful. I could not be happier with them. The only draw back some people might find, is these are not dishwasher proof, but the dishwasher is what dulls your knives the quickest. I do not mind washing a few knives to make sure they stay sharp and easy to cut with.

Sharp, nicely balanced, and modern design. We’ve received many compliments on the actual knives. Wood block leaves a bit to be desired though... the lip on the front that mimics the handle pattern is a nice touch and keeps the stand from falling forward but the wood block stain was applied messily and when the knives are pulled from the block there are stain drips visible inside of the inserts. I would repurchase this knife set, but it’s the details that make something appear high quality and we were disappointed with the appearance of the holder.

First, these are great functioning knives. I bought these to replace a set of German knives that were 15 years old. The difference is amazing. These knives go right through my food. They are great to use. Second, I love the look of these knives. They are not the same old, same old - a silver blade and a brown or black handle. yawn! The look is really nice- different without being odd. My 24 y.o. daughter however doesn't like the look so I guess it's not for everybody. I love it though. The knives are light but feel solid. Third, I read somewhere here on Amazon that the knives are not dishwasher safe and I may have seen some pictures here on Amazon suggesting they discolor in the dishwasher so we have handwashed them and honestly, it's a pain. Overall, I'd recommend these knives and I'm glad I bought them.

I unboxed the package and put the knifes in the knife block. I already could tell that the quality of the knifes and the heavy weight of the knife block shows it was worth my money. Each knife was wrapped and protected showing me the care and quality from company to product to customer. The polished metal shows me they are not cheaply made knifes and more like top quality chief knifes. I love the modern tones they added with the handles. It's a show peice for the price. Making me feel like I purchased a 300+ dollar knife set. Be sure to wipe off the knifes after washing them. Great starting knife set for a young adult or anyone really.

These knives are the type of knives you want to dry by hand after you clean them, not because they will rust but because when the water dries on it, it looks like a stain and everyone will be wanting to look at these knives when they come over because look at them they are amazing! They are SHARP do not underestimate the sharpness of these knives, I did and I cut myself a couple of times. If you are looking for long-lasting, good quality, sharp, and decorative knife set, this the one boo stop looking.

We got the dark wood and it's so pretty! The wooden block looks excellent on our counter. The knives are slightly weighted and easy to hold. Obviously not professional but they are still great quality! All the knives came very sharp with sturdy handles grwat design! Very happy with this purchase and definitely worth the money.
