The Book of Mini: Inside the Big World of Tiny Things

Such an amazing collection of the best of the best miniature work, full of beautiful pictures with great arrangements. These are the work you might ask "how in the world!" The author herself must be a very talented talent scout. The book has a little surprise gift which in my opinion is worth the money already ....a must have for any soul who desires amazement, beauty and human wonders.

I have quite a collection of dollhouse books and miniature magazines. This has to be one of my favorites now. I just got it yesterday and have skimmed through it. There are MANY photos....on each page and detailed up close shots. This is not a how to book....but if you are a seasoned miniaturist, you can pretty well see how many items are made. There is a lot to see and learn from this new book. The great little bonus is the Miniature Book of this book on the inside cover. I never have seen this before. It's just about an inch by and inch. Perfect size for 1/12 scale. 15.00 is a steal for a quality book like this and Amazon is the place to get it. Wendy

I received this when it was expected, and in good shape. I was so excited to see the amazing creations by these artists, and this book did not disappoint. Well written, beautiful photos, and fun content!

This is a fun little book. It is a small hardcover (see picture with book in front of a 8.5" X 11" sheet of paper). This book is packed with miniature creations from MANY different designers. It even has pictures of miniature rooms that are displayed in the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago (which I love to visit when I go there). I like that the materials used in each creation are listed, which is helpful for trying to create your own ideas. There are no instructions in this book. Please mark if you find my review helpful. The author did a magnificent job with this book. The entire book is very organized and highly detailed. There has to be over 1000 color photographs of miniatures. If you love dollhouse miniatures you need to add this book to your collection. Extremely happy with my purchase!!! This is not a “how to” book.

I am also obsessed with all things miniature. Ever since I was a little girl I dreamed of having a big doll house full of lots of detailed furniture electricity and even running water. LOL. I've yet to ever see a dollhouse with running water. I still haven't achieved my dreams however I was given an old dollhouse a few months ago and I'm in the slow process of renovating it and decorating it. I can spend hours and hours and hours just looking at miniatures online or anywhere I've already looked at all the pages in this book many, many times! Do you love miniatures you'll love this book!

The miniatures (or as some people refer to them, the dollhouse miniatures) displayed in this book are to die for. And the photography is top-notch. Imagine looking at a photo of a well-used kitchen that portrays the last-minute prep of Thanksgiving and the only reason you know it's miniature is because a life-size bulb of garlic is plopped down in there. An exact replica of the building Jimmy Stewart's character in Rear Window focused his gaze upon. (Dog basket included.) Amazing. Contains work from the best artists out there, including my favorites Michael Yurkovic and Paris Renfroe, known for mid-century design.

This is an amazing book with loads of images form many different miniature artisans. And it includes a mini book too!

Très beau livre, je n'ai pour l'instant qu'effeuillé mais il y a beaucoup de photos de différents artistes sur tous les thèmes. Un peu de texte en anglais et surtout en cadeau dans le livre un mignon petit livre miniature.
