Good heat emission without mess
Very nice fire pit, we bought it for camping, but ended up using it on our deck most night in the summer. Easy to use, no mess what so ever, very safe and it produces more heat than we thought. Also the tank of gas last longer then we expected.

Good quality
Well built and good quality. I added a few of my own larger rocks and it heats the patio surprisingly well. No issues with the control knob, it just needs to be primed when you turn on the gas. Works perfect for campsites with fire restrictions.

Easy fire for camping
I love this thing! We live in California and we have a few parks where wood burning fire pits are not allowed. Sooooo this was the next big thing for s’mores, because you can’t go camping and not eat s’mores. I gave it 3 stars for ease of use simply because sometimes it can be finicky to get to start. But other than that assembly was pretty easy and the hose to the gas tank is pretty long. It’s a tad bit heavy but shows it’s sturdy. I love that I don’t have to fight wind or worry about putting out a fire with a ton of smoke at the end of the night that ashes over all my belongings. While wood burning definitely gives you the full fire pit experience this is just so convenient. Probably not optimal for camping every time as it does take up some space plus you have to travel with a big gas tank, but it’s so easy, turn on when needed, turn off when done, no hassle no stinky smoke clothes smell or hair lol

Nicely portable just don't expect a tremendous amount of heat.
I know weight has much to do with portability but slightly heavier gauge metal would have been nice. It is relatively easy to move around but if you are used to wood please don't expect the same amount of heat output. I bought it for the ambiance, ease of use, and where I wanted the fire. It has full filled all those requirements.

Nice fire pit.
There is a burn ban in effect, so we purchased the propane fire pit instead of using our wood burning pit. It’s a great way to enjoy a cool evening outside.

Buyer Beware
Instructions for installation were poorly written and installing the propane control unit bracket could not be done without removing the propane gas lines. Only about 1/3 of the necessary lava rock was provided…would return but disassembly and packing may be too difficult.

Parts do not line up
Love the look but when putting together the holes don’t match. So one screw that holds the dial is stripped in. Will not tighten and can not remove. Did not affect the way it works and is useable. We had to do a little adjustment of our own to make a tight fit. Cannot take apart to send back and wanted to use and not wait another week for shipping. As far as lava rocks, we got enough but mixed with paper, plastic and a lot of dust. So had to pick through.

My best homey COVID purchase
I have bought a lot of things since COVID has kept my family and me at home. This is my favorite item by far. And the best investment. I already had a little wood-burning pit area made out of cinder blocks. I wanted the option to go back to wood occasionally, while also having gas for everyday use. The way to have the best of both was to set a gas kit into our pit. Everyday use has actually become EVERY DAY use. We never lit the wood pit as much as we have the gas version. So easy to turn on and off, without the lung-irritating smoke or the lingering smell. Now we have a focal point for our outdoor space. It draws us in on cool mornings with coffee and at night for wind-down time. The square shape was just perfect for our pit. We considered buying a taller table-style gas pit with the propane stored underneath, but I’m glad we went with this. The fire is closer to the ground, so heat is directed outward from below, warming our legs like a traditional pit would. One drawback is the amount of rock that comes with it. It doesn’t quite disguise the metal fire ring, so we bought another bag of rocks at the home improvement store for a few bucks. Make sure you get the kind that is meant for fire. The next thing is to get a cover for the propane tank that can also serve as a little end table.
