Wow! This invisible thread brings back some memories! It's a bit different than the kind I had as a kid, and I like it better. The old stuff was a woven string that you had to separate individual strands from, which became quite tedious and resulted in lots of waste. This new thread is single strand on a spool. I want to say that it's marginally larger and hence, potentially more visible than the old stuff, but it's very difficult to judge. When you KNOW the string is present, if you look hard, you can see it. But, if you're not expecting it to be there, and you're working with a good background, it's truly all but invisible and WILL fool your audience. Remember a few things---presentation mastery helps, as with all illusions. Practice. Practice. But the key thing while using this kind of thread, is to make sure your background doesn't highlight the black thread. So, you don't want a solid WHITE background, that's the worst possible condition. Go for a dark background, and if possible, one that is cluttered so that there's not a consistency. As you experiment, you'll figure it out, but you should experiment to get the best results. You need to anchor one end of the string, I usually apply a small piece of transparent tape, then give myself about 3 feet of line, and then anchor the other end on another piece of tape that I keep in my mouth. This scenario allows you to easily control tension on the line, undetected. Better visual demonstrations can be found on Youtube, for sure. I first came across invisible thread at a shopping mall magic shop. The attendant showed me a trick where he crumpled up a dollar bill and through heavy concentration, was able to levitate the dollar, right in front of me. I was so jaw dropped, I couldn't believe my eyes and indicated that I MUST know this trick. $20 later, I was the owner of a small stretch of invisible thread.

If you want to perform closeup with this thread, you need to wear black and have zero to low light, because this is definitely not a invisible thread

Thread was all loose and tangled up. Seller Also get so little amount of thread. obviously is clueless as to what they're selling because no one with a shred of professional ethics would sell such crap at any price.

Small plastic "bobbin" with enough super-fine thread to stage all sorts of effects. The thread is much stronger than it looks, and has a small blob of magicians wax already attached, making it easy to affix to whatever you need to levitate or disappear, or move. Works well, but the bobbin that it was wound onto clearly didn't travel well. Perhaps I'll see if my sewing machine has a spare that I can utilize

The spool is barely filled may 1/4 at best. Nothing like the photo
