Best tuning earpads
Perfect headphone earpads. I used them to tune my Beyerdynamic Amiron wireless headphones, and they literally transform their sound, pushing the Beyers in a different dimension. With the original earpads, the Amiron sound pretty good, but lack bass. I tried the Dekoni Hybrid, fenestraed sheepskin, and sheepskin. In the end, I settled for the sheepskin version; the other two added too much sibilance to the sound, while the sheepskin do everything right. They are a must to bring the Amiron to the performance level they are capable of, and also add a new level of comfort.

A worthy upgrade
This review is for the Dekoni Hybrid pads installed on my unmodified Beyerdynamics DT-1990. These pads are quite large, about an inch thick. They have a very wide sidewall as well, about 3/4 inches. The cup itself is uniform circular with a fairly straight wall. The lambskin leather is stitched to both the inner and outer sidewalls. The materials seem to be very high quality. The leather is very supple and the memory foam core is soft, not stiff. Being leather pads, these naturally do a lot more reflecting than absorbing of the sound. This results in containment and slight reduction of the sound stage. That's okay though because the DT-1990s are so wide to begin with. In exchange for this small sacrifice, you get a noticeably punchier bass and overall warmer sound. Comfort on these pads is also amazing. As mentioned, the pads are huge, but they still fit my head quite well. I feel no pressure on my glasses whatsoever. The cloth face means that I get all audio attenuation benefits of leather pads but without the sweat. All in all, 5/5. I love what these pads do with sound and that posh comfort is so nice.

it's okay
First of all, I'd like to say I loved DT-1990 Pro with balanced pads. The treble is high but not overwhelming. I could listen to it for 30-60 minutes fine. I've tried out Elite Hybrid, Elite Fenestrated Sheepskin and Elite Velour. I'm keeping the velour and returning the other two. Music I listen to is mainly electronic (deep house, trance, house, some bass) and some classical. I play apex for video game. - Elite Velour: Sounds very close to the balanced. Clamp force is a little too tight but overall a little different and still cool to wear after extended wear. - Elite Fenestrated Sheepskin: Sounds great but it gets too hot. After 5 minutes, I'm sweating a little since there is no airflow. I wanted to like this and keep this since it resembles the original the closest. - Elite Hybrid: Perfect comfort but the bass is too muddy and soundstage gets smaller. too hot

Superb quality and great upgrade.
I bought this Dekoni Elite hybrid for my Beyerdynamic T1 second gen and they fit very nicely. They are a major upgrade in terms of comfort, the stock pads are a bit thin and rigid for my personal preference. They feel very nicely made and the memory foam is excellent; it feels so much better than the stock pads. The sound changed slightly with a bit of a boost to the bass but otherwise close to the stock, which i love. I highly recommend them, especially of you use your headphones for extended periods of time

Comfortable, expensive, okay audio
I purchased a second set of AKG K240 headphones after giving my last pair to my son. I have never thought the pads that come with the AKG K240 were very comfortable, so once again, I purchased a replacement set of earpads. Last time, I bought velour earpads directly from AKG. I came across these Dekoni Audio Elite Hybrid Earpads and it seemed to be the perfect balance of velour against the ear for comfort and higher quality real leather for sound and less peeling of the material. As the description states, the Beyerdynamic DT Series version does fit the AKG K240s perfectly. I do find them to be the most comfortable earpads I have ever tried. I do not find that they improve the sound quality. In fact the bass seems just a bit more muddy than before, but unless I focus on it, I do not really care. I do care about the comfort 1,000x times more. Since I purchased this headset for 50% off, I actually paid more for the earpads than I did for a set of highly respected headphones. But that is probably why the ones that came with the AKGs are so uncomfortable... AKG is prioritizing sound and cost over comfort and long term wear.

Enhance the DT 1990 Pro’s fun factor.
If you are like myself, when you first get the Beyer Dynamics DT 1990 Pro you really appreciate the headphone for detail but notice the imbalance of the bass versus the highs with either stock pad. While a professional workload wouldn’t benefit from this pad swap, the Dekoni Elite Hybrid pads enhance the fun factor of the DT 1990 Pro by changing the acoustics around your ear which brings out more bass and making the highs a bit more comfortable. On the head the pads feel more premium than the stock pads but do feel slightly warmer over time as the leather and foam do not breathe as much as the stock pads. I still recommend to any DT 1990 Pro owners hesitant to pad swap to do so with these as it retains the mid detail, lessens the potentially fatiguing brightness of the highs, and boosts bass.

Comfort & Sound
I've had these for over 2.5 years now and they're still holding up great. They're extremely comfortable for someone with glasses since they're the hybrid cups. I wear them every day for multiple hours with no fatigue . Worth every penny. I'll probably pick up a new pair around the 3 year mark as they are starting to show signs of wear. Hopefully I can catch them on sale 😎

Too much bass DT 1990 Pro
Comfort is great but the finish can be better. The edge quality is nowhere near the OME. The ring edge is not stiffened and uneven, making it much harder to slip in than the OEM pads. But most importantly it is the sound. The bass is way over boosted, making mid and high sound recessed. The change is more plastic surgery than makeup. Had them on for 15 minutes and went back to the OME pads.

Quality was great, but I didn't like the sound it produced with the DT 177x Go.

The Dekoni pads are a perfect fit for Final Sonorous X headphones. Sound quality is terrific. I made sure got my Dekoni pads directly from Amazon US, to ensure they are real and authentic Dekoni pads. The Dekoni pads are very sturdily constructed with authentic leather and velour. I’ve been using the pads for more than three years, and they still feel firm, fresh and new. These are FAR more durable unlike the original Final C pads which I had. From Japan. These were made from artificial leather (pleather) and they only last 9 months before flaking and crumbling into pieces and making a terrible mess. I ordered a second pair of pads from Amazon US as a reserve, but these spare pads are still in storage. I may never have to use them!

These pads are comfy, like wayy more than the stock ones. They can be a bit "chunky" at times though. However the biggest reason to buy these is for the sound change they offer. I got the dt 1990-pro, and the pads significantly increased the bass response (In a good way it's not intrusive) and takes a bit off the treble spike, the sound signature of the pads makes the headphones go from "very good" to "Excellent" great for listening but use the analytical pads if you want to create music. But for listeners these are a must.
