Single Channel Timer Basic

I bought this to control the lighting in my Interpet Insight 64l aquarium and it does the job perfectly! Setup was simple and the timer works flawlessly with my lighting unit. I currently have the Interpet 470mm Triple Bright White LED lighting unit and this controller/timer works without any issues at all. Sunrise and sunset takes approximately 15 mins from start to finish with the Interpet 470mm Triple LED unit. (Times may vary on bigger/smaller lighting units). Setup was as easy as... Set main clock, Set "ON" time, Set "OFF" time, Select F1 - Sunrise/Sunset mode (F2 for instant on/off), Sit back and enjoy the sunrise and sunset effect at your chosen times! The timer also has a override button to turn the lighting on/off when required, after using the override button you just hit the Setting button to return to "Timer mode". Couldn't be any easier! Another added bonus with this timer is the ability to adjust the LED lighting brightness whilst the unit is on, other sunrise/sunset timers don't offer this function so is yet another advantage of this timer/dimmer unit. A fantastic bit of kit and well worth every penny!

I had been using plug in timers on my 4 aquariums for many years. As I've replaced most of my lights with Fluval bluetooth models, which use an app to control settings, I have been able to do away with the bulky timers. Just 1 tank remained, a Superfish 80 litre, which has a built in led light that is turned on and off and dimmed by touch buttons. Rather than use the old plug in timer I looked for an electronic timer and came across the Nicrew one. I didn't want anything fancy; just something to turn the light on gradually and off again. It's a simple job to plug this into the lead of the existing light, turn it on, set the time and the on/off functions and away you go. One word of caution; make sure your light has a connector in it's lead compatible with the Nicrew connector. This would not have fitted one of my Fluval lights. Be aware that if the power to the Nicrew timer is cut you will need to reset the time when you turn it back on but it does retain any settings you have entered. Overall a very neat, inexpensive bit of kit.

Nice nicrew LED light and control unit. Happy with both led light as very bright was worried it might not be bright enough but looks good hope it grow my plants. Saw the dimmer control unit mentioned in another buyers review and thought I'd get it too. works well. Easy to set up. Worth the outlay. Happy shopper 😁

Its the first time I have attached something like this to my tank and it works great. The dimming function does work but not quiet as detailed as I would have liked but that is not the attachments fault for me not reading properly. Its farely simple to set up so happy.

The first thing I noticed about this was that it's much smaller than I was expecting (my own perception - I should've looked at the dimensions!) The second thing was that it feels a bit plasticky. However, it works and so far it works very well. It was easy to set the time and programme following the instructions. You cannot set the duration of the sunrise/sunset - it's a 15 minute fixed cycle but that seems to be perfectly fine from what I can see. Although I didn't need the adaptors for a different size cable, it's nice that they're included in the price. No complaints at all so far.

Brilliant bit of kit for the money, easy to install and functional, dims lights up and down as timer comes on and off, exaclty what I wanted it to do, works so well that I orders a second one, a single and dual channel one

The first one I received, the ‘-/min‘ button didn’t work properly, it wouldn’t register a short press but would a long press and therefore i could not adjust the brightness and setting the minute time was a nightmare. The 2nd one I received all worked but when the light was dimmed at any level, the unit started to make a loud buzz, you can hear it and definitely will annoy you. The unit comes with an adapter for 2.5mm as standard it’s 2.1mm, however 2nd unit was missing this! If it worked as it should then this unit is ok, it allows you to set sunrise and sunset which ramps up the light from off to your set brightness in a period of 15mins which is non configurable. You can only set the on time and the off time and whether to have sunrise/sunset or just straight on/off. So with two units both suffering defects, I bought another unit similar to this but works perfectly, giving you 8 times that you can configure the brightness to simulate sunset/sunrise. It’s a bit more complicated to configure but works perfectly unlike this one. Maybe I’m just super unlucky but 2 faulty units does not say much about the manufacturers quality control and the robustness of this unit.

Easy to set up, and seems to work well. However it makes a high-pitched whining noise the entire time it’s dimming the light for sunset/sunrise. Not sure if this is avoidable, but it’s pretty loud. Might not be a worry if your tank is not in your front room.

Er hat meine Erwartungen in Bezug auf Präzision und Zuverlässigkeit übertroffen und ist eine wertvolle Ergänzung für mein Aquarium. Die prompte Lieferung von Amazon war ein weiterer Pluspunkt.

Lo estoy usando con un kit de acuario de Marina y funciona sin mas con la lampara LED que trae el kit. Su funcionamiento no podría ser más fácil. Tardó unos 30 segundos en tenerlo funcionado con mi acuario. Lo único que no tenia claro (pero se explica bien en las instrucciones) era la diferencia en las opciones "f1" y "f2" (f1 es para que La Luz se enciende y apaga lentamente y f2 es para que se enciende o apaga directamente. Me imagino que es cierto que no se mantendrá la hora correcta si se va la luz pero tampoco lo veo un gran problema ya que, como si se guarda las horas de enciendo y apago, me imagino que se va a seguir encendiendo y apagando cada 10 horas (o las horas que tienes puesto), solo no sincronizado con el tiempo actual. Como no suelo quedarme sin luz espero no tener que preocuparme demasiado de este tema.

J'ai installé ce minuteur NICREW avec un autre ruban circulaire LED RGB, et c'est le jour et la nuit. C'est exactement ce qu'il me fallait. Pourquoi c'est génial : • Automatisation complète : Plus besoin de penser à allumer le matin ou à éteindre le soir. Le minuteur gère tout tout seul. 12h / 24h + Heure d’allumage et Heure de coupure + • Compatibilité : Marche nickel avec mon ruban LED circulaire RGB, la connexion s'est faite sans problème. • Réglages simples : Une fois programmé. Mes poissons ont enfin un cycle de lumière régulier soit direct ou alors avec un levé de intensité de lumière (style soleil). Un petit boîtier super efficace pour automatiser l'éclairage de son aquarium. C'est propre, fiable et ça évite d'oublier la lumière quand on n'est pas là. Je recommande sans hésiter 💙

Le contrôleur permet de régler l'intensité de la rampe LED de 0 à 100 manuellement (voir vidéo), et un mode permet de programmer l'heure d'allumage et d'extinction. On peut programmer un allumage progressif sur 15 minutes, c'est à dire que le contrôleur va aller de 0 à 100 en augmentant la lumière par palier toutes les 9 secondes (et inversement pour l'extinction). Ça fonctionne très bien sur ma rampe qui n'est pas une Nicrew mais équivalente, la programmation est super facile. Pour critiquer un peu je dirai que les premiers niveaux de 1 à 15 environ ne sont pas très progressifs, on voit clairement les paliers, mais ensuite ça ne se voit plus. Et à la limite si on pouvait choisir la durée de l'allumage progressif pour mettre plus de 15 minutes ça serait bien. Chez la concurrence les prix sont exorbitants pour ce genre de contrôleur, et certains ne proposent même pas la moitié de ce que fait celui-ci. Franchement pour le prix c'est un très bon produit.

Cumple su función, es pequeño y sencillo. Se puede regular la intensidad de la luz. Cierto que se borra la hora si se va la corriente, y el tiempo de amanecer y atardecer no dura 15min. como se indica, sino que en unos 5 min. sube del mínimo al máximo de intensidad y viceversa. Pero por este precio tampoco se puede pedir más. Lo tengo funcionando en un panel led 26W de Aquatlantis
