I have purchased two sets of these radios and we love them as a family. They will reach about a mile which is all we needed. We live in the country in central Texas and my daughters house is a good ways away so we bought these for emergencies, for when storms knock out power etc.Ot its just easier than having to answer the phone. They are pre-programmed with about 13 channels or more I don't remember we just use one channel they are crystal clear at a mile away through the woods and my grandkids 9 and 12 also have their own to contact me if needed etc and they use them with no problem at all and also have a couple to just play with on a different channel. We use them camping and at six flags and other theme parks we've never had any issue with the radio and I recommend themn to anyone that needs a hand held radio. I was a police officer for 20 years and used a radio every day and only wish ours was as clear as this one lol. So yeah don't hesitate to buy these, they work really really well.

These are great little walkie’s. I bought them so me and my two friends can communicate while we are out metal detecting on a big piece of property. We used them over half the day today, and the units come in clear. They are very rugged also. This was proven when one of us dropped one on rocks and hard ground. Didn’t skip a beat. The PTT button is easy to press and hold down. The volume is great. I still haven’t checked to see how far apart they can be and still pick up great, but we were separated by over 200 yards and still getting clear reception.

We purchased these for a move from southern Wisconsin to northern Minnesota. We had two personal vehicles and a U-Haul. We wanted 2-way radios to make coordination among the three vehicles easier than trying to call everyone on cellphones, and cell reception would be weak on part of our trip. Whether was clear and the drive mostly flat with some rolling hills on a few stretches. Under these conditions, the radios did just fine. At 65-70 mph voices were clear and crisp as long as you stayed within around 2 miles of each other. Pushing beyond that distance introduced a little bit of crackle but that's perfectly reasonable given the radios' specifications, and you could still understand the person. The radios are easy to use. You can easily pick them up and operate one-handed, and set back down, without lOoking at them. You can set the volume plenty loud. Having them a couple feet from the driver in the noisy cab of the U-Haul was no problem in terms of hearing the radio. Also, the radio provides spoken feedback for almost everything you do, though you can shut this off, and all buttons are big, textured, and easy to feel and operate. This again, is good for driving if you need to switch channels or anything like that. It also means that someone who is blind, like me, can setup and operate these with no problem. The only very minor thing is that the radios need to sit somewhat firmly, and in just the right way, into the charging bases. You have to pay slightly more attention than just plopping them in, but we're talking an extra 2 seconds. In sum, a very usable product that does what it says it'll do.

I purchased these for communicating with friends in different cars while going on drives or roadtrips. Used these on a drive with two others on a winding, hilly, foresty road in the Pacific Northwest. - Under 30 mph, we remained very close to one another, on average within 20 feet or each other: In this scenario, reception and clarity was very good, no cutting out. - Over 30 mph, with similar distance between us (within 20 feet): Even at a short distance, it seemed that signal strength was considerably worse. Voices began to cut out with static, becoming less intelligible as speed increased. I should have expected as much from a product at this price point. However, it did work 80% of the time, we just had to repeat ourselves sometimes to get a message across. If you're buying this product for the same reason as me: I would consider investing in higher quality radios, as the signal quality drops significantly at speeds. As far as quality of the product itself: Pros: They are very portable, very intuitive to use, comes with good accessories, removable batteries, easy charging, volume goes quite high. Cons: Haven't owned or used long enough to find any. Overall, the quality is exactly what you would expect for walkie talkies at this price. Very versatile, good value especially considering it comes with four.

I have never found a walkie-talkie that actually worked on a cruise ship. We are on the carnival Mardi Gras, not a small ship. We have very good reception in between all decks no matter where you are on the ship. We actually have decent reception if the person is in the cabin. 5 days in and I have not had one instance where I could not get through. Very happy with this product. Don’t believe any haters. They are cheap and MUCH better that some very expensive units I have bought over the years.

We got these at an incredible price. They volume is loud which is great because my husband and I flag traffic and we need to hear each other. The range is pretty nice. We never have to stand too far apart but they definitely work great for what we need them for. This was a great bang for your buck. If you want a good radio, I highly recommend these! They stay charged very well.

They worked as expected.

I'm gonna start with the fact that one of my radios, (I ordered a pack of 4), was broken, right out the box. This is really the reason that I give this product a three star rating. Their customer service was great, they are even sending me a replacement radio for free; which I can appreciate. However that doesn't excuse the fact that is broken in the first place. Especially right out of the box.
