Wenger / Swissgear doesn't honor warrantyMy zipper kept separating behind the slider. My bag had very little use and otherwise looks new.Wegner made me send in 12 different photos of the defect, front, sides, top and bottom of the bag... then determined that the defect wasn't covered under the lifetime warranty as the bag was "worn out".What the @#$%! can happen to a bag over it's lifetime that couldn't be considered "wear"? This lifetime warranty is absolutely worthless. If the defect isn't immediately obvious when you receive the bag (and can still return to amazon for free) then it's chalked up to "wear" and no warranty service for you.Shame on you, Wegner/Swissgear, I think you sold your formerly good name to stick on cheap crappy products with no customer service.

I purchased this backpack in purple back around 2009/2010ish (it was sometime when I was in high school). I used the backpack my senior year of high school and all through college to lug big textbooks, sketchbooks, paintbrushes, and other supplies with me to school. I've taken it abroad stuffed with clothing and almost always have my laptop in it. I have literally packed this thing to its limits, to the point that it was nearly impossible to close, and yet it has held together amazingly well and was probably one of my best investments.Any wear to the backpack was over time and generally minor and expected. The padding under the straps is beginning to fray, but is still just as comfy and soft. The inner lining between the smaller front pocket and the main pocket ripped fairly early on but since I never use the front pocket, it was never really a problem. The biggest issue with the backpack now is the side pockets. The mesh pockets do stretch to accommodate slightly larger objects and waterbottles, but over time they remain stretched out. Mine have stretched out so much that if I lean over with the backpack on, I risk having the contents spill out. It's been seven years or so and I'm only now considering a new bag because its beginning to look used. I really love this backpack and the fact that it lasted so long made it well worth the money.
