Great product for pros and hobbyist alike, good price.
Evercoat make high quality body fillers suited to professional and hobbyist who want the best available. I have been using their products for over 20 years and have been completely satisfied. This product is perfect for smaller area repairs, but I've found that mixing this 50/50 with Rage Ultra Extra extends the working time and goes on even smoother, feathering exceptionally well, making it ideal for larger area coverage and thinner, smoother layers needing far less sanding.

I would definitely buy again and again
100% game changer....I never knew forming and shaping could be so much easier. Levels really nice. There may be better out there but I have never found it. Made my body work go from dreading sanding to having fun with it. It sands so easy you have to be careful not to remove to much to fast. I have done paint work for 35 years both in a shop and personal and this mud is fantastic....

Pretty nice product, with limitations. Also, it's not a gallon, it's 0.8 gallons.
The product description needs to be clarified to say 0.8 gallons or 102.4 oz. Even the Evercoat website says it a gallon, though it's clearly not. For my current project, I decided to spend the extra money and buy Rage Ultra thinking it was the easiest sanding filler out there to hopefully reduce time and effort. I ran out halfway through my this project, so the next gallon I bought (also 0.8 gallon) was another Evercoat product, Z-Grip. I couldn't swallow the Rage cost again and felt Z-Grip was fine on previous projects. Comparing the two: Rage Ultra is way more creamy and has a really fine texture, and seems similar to Evercoat's Glaze. It might feather out better than Z-Grip, but I'm thinking all good fillers will feather ok if the metal is sanded with 36 grit first. The Z-Grip seems really coarse, and is definitely harder to sand compared to the Rage when both are fully cured. However, Rage seems to be way more sensitive to higher temps. I would not think about using it if temps are above 85 or so. I tried using it at about 92 degrees, and it became unspreadable within a minute or so, wasting very expensive filler. It is also a somewhat runny even at 60-75 degrees, and easily runs off of my spreaders, so I had to handle it carefully to avoid wasting it on the garage floor. Once Rage is on the car, it doesn't sag and it spreads nicely. Not sure how, but I got more pin holes somehow using this compared to Z-Grip. Overall, I'd buy Rage again if cost isn't a factor, and don't plan to use it in a really warm garage.

The best
Expensive but worth it.

Sands well, spreads horribly
Sands beautifully. That's a good thing, because youll be doing a ton of it as this spreads like absolute hot garbage. Impossible to feather the edge nicely, and fails to fill pinholes. For the price, I believe there are much better values available on the market. I much prefer the upol products. Note: the can design has changed! My can looked like it was from the 90s, but looking at the Evercoat website they show a transition from the one pictured on the Amazon listing to a new can design that is much simpler

Seller needs to specify hardener!
Although expensive, this product is so far above all the parts store body putties in quality, that I feel like I am working with drywall compound on my car. It spreads in a beautifully smooth manner, dries in about the same time as budget bondo's, and best of all, can be sanded with 220, and does not clog the paper to boot! I have never had the experience where I could start sanding with anything less than 80 as a first pass, because the regular Evercoat's, etc, always set up so hard. A product review however is not my only reason for this submission, I am unhappy about the lack of specificity about whether or not hardener needs to purchased separately. Some reviewers said they received the neccessary hardener and others did not. As a precaution I ordered a 10 dollar tube of hardener, but when the Rage arrived in its box, the can was wrapped in a plastic bag, and a tube of hardener was included. Please edit the product description to show plainly that "YES" hardener is included, or "NO" hardener is not included. Other Rage sellers specify this status.

Loving it so far. dries fast even in a cold garage, and sands really quickly without gumming up my paper.

Had the chance to use this now. Works good but dries fast, I’m mixing small batches. I basically have to mix for each small area as it will set up. I’ve used a little less hardner to help. Sands pretty good.
