I bought this for the sole purpuse of activating DEX on my Note8, now that Samsung has updated DEX to support off-brand devices. The photo in the review is a screenshot I took, using the native DEX environment, and it works flawlessly with my 4K Vizio TV, and a Logitech keyboard and mouse combination. With the addition of a bluetooth gaming controller, one can play full-screen games in either DEX or screen mirroring with ease, AND since this dock has Power Delivery, the phone stays charged while being used in DEX mode, my Note8 charges faster than it discharges, and when in screen mirroring or just plugged in doing nothing, the phone charges with Quick Charge 3.0 speeds, thanks to the original Samsung Quick Charge power adaptor that came with the phone. All in all, this is a solid performer, and worth every single cent spent on it.

Update: company refunded me money and updated item description, removing switch comparability. Amazing customer support 5 stars. Doesnt work as advertized. Samsung DeX with Galaxy S9 works fine but it didnt work with my Nintendo switc i.p.oh no matter what I tried.

I needed an affordable USB-C adapter to connect my MacBook Pro to my projector, and this one works perfectly! The HDMI port gives a clear 4K picture, the USB 3.0 is handy for flash drives, and the extra USB-C port keeps my laptop charged while using it. It’s lightweight and easy to carry, which makes it perfect for travel or school presentations. For under $10, it’s an excellent value!

Works great durability easy to use

so at first i though it looked like a cheap china made product, when i removed it from the box, there were no instructions and immediately felt the weight of this and knew that it was not a poor quality product. I Can verify 100% this does work for the samsung galaxy note 10+ for dex mode. in fact im using it now. To use this product in dex mode you need to supply power to the usbc female adaptor. place an hdmi plug in the hdmi recepticle and connect it to a monitor or tv. then you either need a usb keyboard/mouse combo, a bluetooth keyboard/mouse combo or a powered usb hub. the rest ill leave to you but once you plug your phone in, it should automatically start dex. if it doesnt you did something wrong. to use this with windows 10 you can simply use a USBC to USB cable you do not need this device. UPDATE... After just three months this device completely quit working. I do not recommend this for any type of consistent usage. I did notice that during operation especially with different HDMI sources it would cut out in the middle of operation and was definitely not considered stable.

Originally bought for switch, found out it works great with steam deck as well. Great purchase

It connects a USB C to HDMI and 1 USB A port, as well as female USB C for using to power the device you connect to the USB C. I use this on a Samsung Tablet to run the Dex app on my HDMI monitor and with it I connect as expected. Connect a Mouse or keyboard to the USB A port and it keeps my device from discharging, The ONLY critique would be that the cable to the USB C is thick and doesn't bend very well. This may cause others to need to route their cables with some consideration or else risk crimping and subsequently damaging the cable. This is not worthy of costing a star on my rating as I know this i inherent of most cables and it's just a matter of knowing what you want to do. Well worth the money here and I definitely would buy again if it were to ever need replacement

I'm rating this product a 3 out of 5 stars. Why? First off this dongle is great due to its portability. I mainly use this product as a 2nd computer at my girlfriends house. All I needed was a decent PC monitor, HDMI cable, wirless mouse and keyboard and i have a computer. I use this dongle with my samsung galaxy s9 which has Samsung Dex Support. While using Samsung Dex the dongle can be used for about na hour. As the dongle heats up, the dongle and HDMI begins to use connectivity with the monitor. While loosing conectiviy, I will have to discconect my Samsung Galaxy S9 from the dongle and reinsure the dongle back with the phone for Dex support. The dongle is great, however due to disconnection issues once in a while. I can not give this product a 4 or 5 star rating. Again you get waht you pay for. This dongle is not bad, nor its not great either. Its just an average device.
