Second one we have ordered, works good but the plastic on and off button just wears out fast.

I feel this is best Retevis RT-9908 series to buy small business like Restaurants, gas station its pretty sound cool and to adjust the volume so it won’t eco. The size is perfect for the counters easy to connect clarity is perfect.

This intercom system is a great low-cost alternative to all the other high-cost intercom systems out there on the Internet. I wanted an intercom for the entrance door in my home. I took a chance on the reviews, some good and some bad, and purchased this inexpensive unit anyway. After installing it, about three weeks later the switch wouldn't stay engaged "ON." I pulled the unit apart and noticed they have the switch hard-soldered directly to the circuit board instead of wire-soldered. I had to heat up the solder on the circuit board itself to remove the faulty switch. I took the switch to the hardware store and tried to find one of the same size and depth. I came close, but the one I replaced it with was a bit deeper. I drilled a new hole and installed a new switch in a different location on the top plate cover of the unit and wire-soldered the new switch to the circuit board. .......... I'll stop here. The whole point here is, this is a good intercom for the money regardless of the mishap with the switch stopping working after three weeks. I say this because it is working great now, and this intercom is much, much less expensive than any other intercoms I searched on the Internet. For the money, for the trouble, for the quality of the sound from this intercom, it was definitely worth the purchase. The sound quality is very good. It's easy to hear and understand the person at my door. You'll have to decide if you want to take the risk as I did. For me, it paid off. I recommend this unit if you have the ability to repair it if that becomes necessary. The price is unbeatable.

Update: The company was great and sent me another unit in no time. It works great again. Thank you. This is a great product in theory. After a couple of months, though, the connection between the cord and main unit only works sporadically. We can jiggle the cord to get it to work some, but it's not consistent and we shouldn't have to jiggle a cord to make it work.

Good price & easy set up. I sent the first one back as it kept cutting in and out, and reordered it, thinking it was a faulty unit, but after a two days of use the new one does the same. I will keep it as it is better than nothing, but is very annoying when I am asking for a set of numbers, such as a phone number, and miss some of the digits when it cuts out for a second. I am bringing this down from 3 stars to one because after 10 weeks of use (3 days a week) today it finally stopped working, The short in microphone has made it completely useless. What a total waste of money.

the circle speaker mic is hard to hear when spoken into outside of a few inches. You will notice the speaker mic has a twisted wire to reduce static or electromagnetic interference between the lines.

I always buy this particular one. Got about 5 years or more usage out of the last one I baught

ordered 4 of them for a Money wiring check cashing store, 3/4 work perfect and have been working perfect since day one. the few problems i have experienced just like anyone else is because they are not plugged in Fully/correctly.. off replug, on again and bam perfect. one of the four was defective the power adapter buzzes loudly when plugged in to ANY outlet and its microphone/speaker (circular one) hisses when plugged into any of the four i bought . thanks to amazons great return policy for defective items exchanging for a new one wont be a problem. there is no risk if you get a bad one like with anything on amazon. don't be discouraged by anyone else comments i have had loud power drills and other construction going on and these intercoms are loud enough.

Todo perfecto, solo que el micrófono flexible se debe uno a cercar para que se escuche al altavoz de afuera

El material muy corriente, las perillas quizá se barran porque se sienten algo flojas, la bocina suena muy distorsionado y si subes un poco más de la mitad el volumen se satura. Pero en general, para lo que cuesta, no creo que haya otro mejor
