A great book for Computer Vision

It's a slightly difficult read, but by no means a bad text for Computer Vision. Just not the book you should pick first to get started with Computer Vision. Pretty good book to go deep into the subject.

Got a damaged product. Very disappointed.

The page and text quality of the book is sorely lacking

This version is not the same as the American one. But this is still a good book none the less

Very helpful and gives a modern approach for sure. Very good gift for a student or anyone interested in computers and going deeper into them.

The book is exhaustive on topics about object, image and texture classification and retrieval, with many practical tips in dealing with classifiers. Equally exhaustive on tracking. Strong at explaining object detection and simpler image segmentation methods. Slightly more praxis oriented than Szeliski. Only computer vision book to explain image retrieval and image classification with feature methods.

This book is so rich and I suggest enjoying it from chapter 3, the first 2 can give the wrong idea and you can always go back to read stuff you don't know

Terrible book. I bought this book because my graduate class in computer vision required it, but I had hard time understanding what the author is trying to say. I think the author expects you to have prior experience in computer vision and throws a bunch of jargons without explaining much. I ended up relying only on the lectures and skipped reading this book, and I did well in the class.
