It was summer in Seattle and the blooming things were exploding with delight, unleashing a blanket of pollen on the city and providing job security for the makers of Sudafed. I'd grown weary of sneezing myself to sleep at night and of constantly vacuuming up dust. It was the summer I turned to air purification for my salvation. I bought the Alen 45i on the recommendation of Consumer Reports. After a few initial hours on turbo, it settled into a quiet cycle on auto mode and I haven't had to touch it since. Pretty quickly, my dust level was significantly diminished and I was sleeping better. I found that when I walked downstairs in the morning I would immediately start sneezing, so I ended up purchasing the larger 75i for my living room (probably overkill for my space; it's a gigantic beast). Both units are extremely quiet unless they're on turbo — but they call it turbo for a reason — and they're super-easy to setup and use. They also look nice, and I like that you can turn off the display light on the 45i so it doesn't cast unnecessary light in the bedroom at night. So far so good on the filter, though I haven't had it long enough to say whether it's as long-lasting as claimed. Assuming it continues to perform I think it's worth the investment for cleaner air and better sleep.

we have two of these and i love them! they’re more sensitive than other brands and i love being able to check on things and control from my phone. but what really prompted me to write is the packaging. honestly, someone has been so thoughtful about the design it deserves mention. the box is simple to open, there’s no electrified styrofoam everywhere, the machine is light and super simple to set up. and when i went to break down the cardboard this morning, there’s not even the need for a knife! i have also used their support before for a question and they’re responsive and thorough.

A great air purifier. Operation is quiet, no need to turn up the tv or move it out of a bedroom. Comparable with Gosund app so you can see your air quality from your Alexa app. The fan speed automatically adjusts according to the pollutant level in your home. This got a workout this year with all the wildfire smoke. I even brought it outside to briefly get measurements on outside air quality. I’ve had my Alen for 2 years and I’mvery satisfied with it. Filters are expensive but don’t need to be replaced very often.

We just received it today and it was easy to put together and I loved the child safety plastic, since I have a small grandson. When it's in low it is very quiet, the higher you put it, the noise is more audible, but nothing scary. As a matter of fact, my grandson sleeps with a sound machine, so I'm thinking of setting on one of the higher levels because I didn't bring his noise machine. If there are any issues, I'll follow up later. As of today, everything looks great.

Good: +Plenty of speed settings with the lower ones being very quiet. Even the higher settings appear to not be as noisy as some other brands. +Sensor is accurate, though almost a little on the too sensitive side. +Looks good and easy to replace filters +Color indicator lights are very helpful Bad -Filters could be cheaper -Customer service initially refused to honor warranty. Also had multiple quality control issues when they sent a replacement unit, thus ending up getting a 2nd replacement unit. Customer service was very attentive once they were on the case, but they definitely have some quality control issues they need to look into at their warranty unit facility. -not connected to wifi so can't check or control via phone app. Would be nice it integrated with Alexa or Google speaker. It would be nice if they made a smaller unit for bedrooms or small offices.

Outstanding! Cleans the air quickly and efficiently. I have serious allergy issues and this system really keeps the air clean. It tells you by color if the air quality is questionable with 5 color codes. Also removes cooking odors. It was well worth the money.

My unit started making noise after six months. I called Alen directly and spoke with a manager. He said they do not honour the warranty for anyone outside the US.
