DC20D-MK2 Diesel/Gasonline Engine Generator Control Module Controller, Manual/Remote Auto Start, DC 8-36V with RS485 Communication Port

I had my doubts about this genset when I received it. It stunk ... bad. It was boxed, then bubble wrapped then boxed again. The whole thing smelt like kerosene or some really bad toxic yuck. As I was unwrapping the bubble wrap, I noticed what appeared to be water? Did it fall off the ship? The inside box was soaked and so was the manual. I left the whole thing in the garage for two days to air out. I hooked it up to our generator a couple days later and it fired right up. With a few changes to the settings, it seems to work just fine. We have a kabota engine power 18kw generator and finding a genset to work with it was a bit frustrating. Four stars for the stink! I had to photocopy the instructions because I just couldn't bear the smell.
