I have gone through countless flags over the years trying to find one that can truly stand up to the harsh New England weather—the brutal sun of summer and the high winds and ice of winter. What Makes It Worth Every Penny: Unmatched Durability: The Nyl-Glo nylon material is fantastic. It's lightweight enough to catch the slightest breeze and fly beautifully, yet it's incredibly strong. The stitching is absolutely superb; the four rows of stitching on the fly end (the part that takes the most abuse from the wind) are heavy-duty and show zero signs of fraying after months of constant exposure. Vibrant, True Colors: The SolarGuard treatment truly keeps the colors vibrant. The red, white, and blue are rich and deep, and they haven't faded at all under intense summer sun. It looks just as crisp today as the day I took it out of the box. Beautiful Craftsmanship: The embroidered stars are dense, perfectly aligned, and look stunning up close. This is a flag made with pride and quality. The brass grommets are robust and securely fastened, easily handling the tension on the pole. Made in the USA: It's important to me to purchase a flag made by a respected American company, and Annin's quality backs up their heritage. The SolarGuard flags by Annin represent a bit of a compromise, but one worth making. I've flown a lot of all weather flags, and the only two that are really worth it, in my opinion, are the ToughTex and the SolarGuard. Both flags have embroidered stars and sewn stripes. They both come with great color out of the box (and the box includes a helpful flag information card). But after that, they're very different flags. The SolarGuard is my favorite flag because lasts the longest. I live in Central Ohio. So, my flags get exposed to a moderate amount of sunlight, a moderate amount of wind, and four-season conditions. I mount my flags on a slanted pole, so they tend to get a lot of exposure. The SolarGuard flags don't have the best drape in the world. They are clearly nylon, which means they are lightweight and, for lack of a better word, a little flimsy feeling. That being said, they are quite durable even if they lack a tiny bit of polish in the looks department. They hold their color for a long time, and the stitching is very durable. By contrast, the thing you will immediately notice about the ToughTex is that it is a heavier fabric. Because of this, it does tend to drape better. It looks and feels more like a traditional cotton flag. It is a flag that isn't going to fray prematurely on you. If you live in a high wind area, it's a great flag. Although you should be aware that if you live in a high wind area you will want a reinforced anchor point: if you're flying it a pole embedded in three feet of concrete, you'll be fine. But, if like me, you fly it from a smaller pole that is mounted to the outside of your house, you should use some real wood screws to make sure the bracket is in tightly. So why do I like the SolarGuard better? It really comes down to fading. I flew a ToughTex flag last year, but in less than 12 months the colors were very washed out (and remember, Central Ohio is only a moderately sunny locale). The fabric of flag felt like it had a year left in it, but the colors had reduced to a musty pink and a vaguely blueish field. By contrast, the SolarGuard flags last me nearly two years. I don't live in a super windy place, so the fabric withstood most of the climate here (slight fraying eventually forced me to take it down). I don't think you can go wrong with either of these flags, but unless you live in a really windy area, you will likely get a little more life out of the SolarGuard flag. If you're the kind of person who like to replace flags annually regardless of their condition, you should consider the ToughTex because it does have a better drape and appearance.

I have had this flag flying outside my house for over two years now in every type of weather imaginable, including a LOT of bright sunlight, hurricanes, crazy winds, snow, and downpours. I recently took it down to wash it for the first time and realized how well it has held up through everything. It washed up really nicely and is completely intact. There is one small spot where some of the stitching is starting to come loose, so I will touch that up, but honestly I am very impressed with the quality you can get for this price. I am not sure how faded it is as I don't have an original to compare it to, but looking at it now, all of the colors on this flag are very vibrant. The picture with this review shows what the colors on this flag look like after a full year outside and a trip through the washing machine. I would highly recommend this flag, and I would buy from this company again.

This is the third one of these flags I have purchased. They last about a year in Mississippi with continuous outdoor exposure. I am very happy with the quality of this flag and am very happy to be able to buy made in USA product.

After searching for a larger flag then the current 3’x5’ that we currently have, a friend recommended Annin Flag Co. to me. This is an American company that has proudly produced flags for a very, very long time! After reading their company’s history and reading their customer reviews, it was an obvious choice. This 4’x6’ flag is exceptionally well made and very beautiful! The materials are top notch and the craftsmanship is outstanding. While I was willing to spend the extra money to buy from a domestic supplier, I was quite pleased to find that the cost of this excellent product was actually less than many imported flags from other manufacturers. I am very happy with this flag and am proud to now have a larger, very high quality American flag flying atop our flagpole. I highly recommend this Annin Flag Company American Flag!!! 😄🇺🇸👍

Over the years I have bought many flags from different companies and after reading the reviews on this flag I thought I would buy this one! I will never buy a flag from a different company again!!! The quality and material of this flag is outstanding! I have never seen a flag of better quality ever! It was a little bit more money then others I have purchased but well work it! You will notice the difference in this flag as soon as you open the box!

This is a great quality - the stars are actually embroidered rather than printed. It was the perfect centre piece for our red, white and blue themed party.

Made in the USofA! Top Quality! Will look beautiful for YEARS to come. I’ve included mine in a retirement display case and the stitching detail is impeccable. It also included the US Flag Code which was a great learning lesson to my daughter who didn’t know flag etiquette. Don’t order from anywhere but Annin Flagmakers.
