Plasma Ball Lamp Touch Sensitive,Party Magical Electrostatic Red Color Crystal Ball for Halloween (Evil Dragon)

Very nice item for the man cave. I have other plasma displays and this one stands out. Unfortunately this unit stopped functioning in a couple of weeks, there are no cracks in the bulb and the item was treated very gently. I used Amazon's return system to order an exact replacement item and will ship the non functional unit back using the Amazon return shipping label. I will comment back with results of the longevity of the replacement item.

This dragon clutching a plasma lamp is everything I hoped it would be. The design gives the perfect impression of a dragon about to unleash its fury, and the glowing plasma sphere only adds to the dramatic effect. It feels like a scene frozen in time—a dragon caught mid-attack. The lamp fits right in with my office theme, adding both atmosphere and a conversation piece. I find myself turning it on just to watch the arcs of light dance around inside while the dragon looms over it. The detail in the sculpting is excellent, and the combination of fantasy aesthetic with the science-y plasma lamp vibe really makes it stand out. If you want something that’s equal parts nerdy, mystical, and impressive, this is a fantastic pick. I love it.

I plugged it in and it immediately blew my breaker. At first I thought it just broke, but that wasn’t the case. My stove and lights wouldn’t work, and after I fixed that it began to work again. It’s pulling a ton of current for such a little thing. We turned it on again and it feels scary using it. You touch it for about 5 seconds in one spot and it starts to burn your finger, and makes a cracking sound. We had it on for a total of 10 minutes and it began to get hot when we weren’t even touching it. My son ended up turning it off saying he was afraid to play with it because it was too hot. After going back through the reviews and seeing at least two different people say theirs exploded I’m so glad he turned it off and immediately came to me. Apparently one child went to the ER with glass in his eye from this thing. I’m returning this thing immediately. Although it’s cute it’s not worth the risk and should be recalled. It is not safe!!!

To preface this review: I did have to purchase two separate Plasma Balls. This is due to no fault of the seller or the Plasma Ball itself, but because my kittens decided the flashing lights in the dark made a wonderful toy and knocked it onto the floor, shattering it. These are great, they make cool decorations and of the two I bought, both came with no damage or anything missing. I'd love to give this 5 Stars, the only reason I can't is because the first one I bought must've used a poorer quality glass, because the bottom of the globe would give out an ear-ringing sound anytime it was touched while the Plasma Ball was on. It doesn't happen at all with the second one I bought, but it made it much less enjoyable to touch since it would cause me headaches. Otherwise, I love it!

This is awesome! It’s the perfect blend of decor and science.

At the time of this review, I have only had this light for about six (6) weeks. It has been running for a good eight (8) hours each weekday on my desk and looks great. I was not expecting it to be made as well as it is for the price, so that was a real shock. It feels like a hard, heavy resin or plastic. The detail on the dragons is outstanding, all the way down to the red eyes and tongue. Even on the backside where many figures lose detail, not this light. The dragon's back, wings and tail have very good detail. There are no rough edges anywhere, like may figures, you will find rough edges where it came out of the mold, not this light. Care was taken to make it look very expensive. \ So yes, I am very happy with the light and happy to display it anywhere.

It's a really attractive nightlight. I am a 62 year old avid dragon book reader. I love the fact that I was able to get such an entertaining nightlight. I touch the bulb repeatedly just to see the little lightening bolts gravitate to my fingertips. Fascinating science right there at my bedside. The bulb is bright. The switch works great. I could care less if the eyes and tongue are loosely spray painted. If you have the light on, you can't really see the red against the black of the dragon anyway. Some day I may choose to paint it with model paints just to make it my own.

Spooky and really cool. Makes a high pitched sound that only people under 20 can hear. They only turn it on if there is music in the room. go figure.

I feel like it was a waste of money and I am very disappointed with it as it was a birthday present.

This product is great, fun turns well and my wife loves it. One issue, and it's a funny one. If you have a touch sensitive styled lamp nearby, it will turn it on and off when you touch the orb! It brought my wife and I some good laughs so I'll chalk this down to a hilarious quirk.

After (1) one month it is no longer working.
